Junna checked herself in the mirror once again. Long black dress, apron tied properly, hair kept as usual, glasses in place, all good. She exited the maid’s quarters, and greeted anyone that she walked past by as she proceeded towards Daiba Nana’s room.

It would be the first time she were to enter. Yesterday, she wasn’t there so she wasn’t allowed to enter. What would her room be like? She seemed like a respectful and kind person… under the playful personality.

Junna faked a cough as she knocked onto the door. “Daiba-sama? Are you awake?” She waited for a few minutes for a response and received none. “I will be intruding then.”

That morning, Mr. Daiba told her that “if Nana doesn’t answer the door, just go inside” because she usually does not mind. What still left her curious was why her maids changed alot in the past few months. Nonetheless, it is probably useless to think about them, because if it is hardwork, no one else can beat her. Junna opened the door to Nana’s room, and not to her surprise, it was messy.

There were clothes strewn from the door towards the bed, and there was a tower of books near the study table that was next to the window and a book shelf onto the left wall near the door. A few steps from the window was the bed, that was at the center of the room, headboard sticking to the wall. A few steps from the bed was a large closet, and next to that close was a cabinet with some frog stuffed toy on top of it. However, it was the mountain of books and scripts on the study table that made her curious but she was there to work, clean and serve her master, not to read books.

Junna picked up the pants, the white long sleeves and the vest in her arms. She also settled the shoes together with the shoe rack. She wasn’t sure of when would Nana need the suit once again, so she contemplated waking up the master from her slumber. She had returned at midnight, and it was just six in the morning. Mr. Daiba told her to wake her up early… but watching herself, she felt bad about waking her… although the way she slept was a bit childish. Leg outside of the covers, her stomach exposed, and one pillow hanging. She fixed the covers and properly pulled it back up to Nana’s chin and sighed.

She really wanted to see the books. What kind of books are they? Does she like Shakespeare too? And before she realized it, she was already touching it. “Oh no.” She murmured under her breath. She shouldn’t be touching her master’s things… Although she did want to clean it up and arrange it, it would be bad if she arranged it in a way that her master disliked and—

“Enjoying yourself?”

“GWAAAAAAH!” Junna almost threw the book at her in surprise and thankfully was able to stop her. “D- Daiba-sama!”

“Good morning, Hoshimi-san. Sorry for the mess.” Nana yawned as she put her feet down onto the floor. “Did you just get in?”

“Ah, a few minutes ago, yes… I’m sorry, you were still sleeping and I didn’t want to disturb you.” Junna bowed her head as she watched Nana walk towards her. She truly is tall…

The sun rose as the light got inside Nana’s room, making it brighter. “Do you like books, Hoshimi-san?”

“Wh- Why are you so formal with me? Junna… is fine.” Junna wanted to hit herself for stammering so much around this person. Somehow, she felt like Nana was normally quite scary… Or taking into account with what her experiences with her are, maybe it’s just defense mechanism.

“I will call you ‘Junna-chan’ if you agree to call me Nana as well.” Nana smiled at her as she run her hand through her short blonde banana hair.

“Umm… N- Nana-sama…”

“No need for -sama.”

“I cannot do that.”

“…Fine.” Nana scratched her head before stretching her arms above her head. “Are you gonna clean now?”

“If that would be alright.” Junna stood before her and nodded. “How would you like your books to be arranged?”

“I’ll leave it to you. Amaze me?” Nana smiled. “I’ll take a shower while you clean then.”

“No, I can wait until you are done—“

“Time efficiency!” Nana put up an index finger as if she was teaching, matched by a big grin.

She was right. Junna only sighed before smiling. “Alright.”

Junna turned towards the study table and small book shelf that was full of unarranged of books. Only a person who loved reading would have this amount of books. She truly admired her collection.

“Should I go by alphabetical? I wonder if this books had anything in common.” Junna put a thumb under her chin, an arm crossed under her stomach as she propped her elbow on her hand. “How about by author?”

She loved arranging books, as well as reading them. She may as well have been a librarian in her past life, but as the class president in school, she couldn’t do the library duties together with that, this part-time and class president duties.

Before Junna realized it she had already started arranging the books the way she would do it. By author and by title. If an author’s last name started with A, then the book of that author whose title also started with A. She found this arrangement to be the best, because she wanted to be able to find the books of her favorite author in one look. She wasn’t sure how much time she spent arranging books, but she knew that she had to finish soon, because she hasn’t swept the floor or brought the clothes for laundry, as wel as fixed the bed.

Junna finished arranging the books at the mid and lower shelves, leaving the top ones for later as she needed a step ladder to reach them. “She truly is tall…” Junna sighed and continued making the bed. “…Not to mention she smelled nice as well…” She immediately shook her head. What a creeper she was. You do not think of such things about your employer’s daughter. So if she wasn’t her employer’s daughter it was fine…? No, no. To nobody at all! She put a hand to her face as she stopped the bad thoughts from coming. She finished making the bed, source of all temptations, and quickly swept the floor for any dirt and returned to the shelf.

“…I forgot the step ladder—“ Junna turned around and almost walked into a very naked Daiba Nana. “D- Daiba-san!”

Nana smiled at her and moved her index finger left and right at her face.

“Na- Nana-sama…” Junna turned around to face the bookshelf again, blushing. “P- Please put on some clothes.”

“Ah. Totally forgot about that one.” Nana smiled and walked away from her.

How can someone forget to put on clothes!? Junna swallowed the words. Getting angry at her employer’s daughter is probably not best for her employment.

“I wanted to see how you’re doing the moment I saw you standing in front of my shelf, so I sort of just, yep.” Nana put on her undergarments, a pair of jogger pants and lastly a sweat shirt, to complete ‘being dressed’ then walked back towards her maid. “My last maids often gave up trying to sort them.”

“I am not like them.” Junna told her firmly. Maybe because you’re a pervert. Her brain said, she wasn’t that much different from, considering her thoughts while fixing her bed. Junna shook her head to clean herself

of impure thoughts. “Something like this is too simple for me.”

“Hm~” Nana looked at her and smiled wryly. “It would be nice if you really could stay.”

Junna swallowed as the wry smile tugged at her heart. It was sad, and lonely. “A- As long as you don’t do perverted things, we should be okay.” Said the pervert who was just thinking about how nice she smelled.

“I see. I’ll keep that in mind.” Nana walked towards her and stood behind her, a bit too close but Junna didn’t mind. “The top shelf?”

“Um, I was about to get a step ladder…” Junna spoke as Nana leaned near her, taking out the books from the top shelf. She truly smelled nice. It wasn’t just because she came out of the shower… she really just naturally smells nice.

“Junna-chan?” Nana looked at her.

“Ah. Y- Yes?” Hearing her name from that mouth and that nice voice surprised her. That mouth… that kissed her.

“I was asking where should I put these and what do I put there?” Nana smiled as she held a few books in her hand and pointed at a gap in the middle.

“E- Eh!? I- It’s alright. I would use the step ladder and do them myself. I couldn’t possibly…” ask you to help.

“But you can? After all, these are my books. Usually I don’t let anyone touch them, but the way you looked at them made me realize that I could probably entrust them to you… and I wanted to help.” Nana smiled.

“I can understand that but…”

“Please?”

Junna leered at her. Somehow, that puppy-like pleading face was something she couldn’t reject… She fixed her glasses. “A- Alright…”

“Yay. Spending time with Junna-chan.” Nana grinned as she clasped her hands together.

Junna looked at her suspiciously.

“I- I really am not a pervert! Really! They were accidents… Guh…” Nana looked at the floor with a sad expression.

Junna tried not to laugh. She truly looked like a puppy… “I trust you, for now.”

“For now!? Guhhh…” Nana slumped her shoulders forward and Junna couldn’t help her laughter anymore. “You pfft’d just now! You just did, didn’t you!?”

“I most definitely did not, Nana-sama—pfft.”

“You did it again! Mean!”

“I did not. Pf—“ Junna covered her mouth with a hand.

“Ahhh. Junna-chaaan! Why are you laughing!?”

“I wasn’t.” Junna fake coughed and smiled at her.

Nana couldn’t help but smile back at such a wonderful smile. “Pretty…”

“Yes?”

“Ah.” Nana covered her mouth. Did her thoughts come out of her mouth? “I meant… you.”

“Oh…” Junna blushed at the honest praise. “Th- Thank you…”

“Y- Yeah…” Nana wanted to slap herself. Just when they were getting a long so well, her big mouth had to ruin it!!! “Shall we continue fixing my shelf?”

“Ah. Yes. We should.” Junna nodded and smiled again.

On that day, Daiba Nana realized that her personal maid was very pretty… and that smile was dangerous for her heart.

And on that day, Junna was happy that they finally had a normal encounter with each other… and she looked forward to learning more about her master.
