After becoming lovers with Chisato, from a confession from Takina, Takina found herself being interested in articles involving ‘How to Get Closer To Your Lover’ or ‘How To Spend Quality Time With Your Lovers’ and the like. She often spent her time reading such articles in places where no one would find her… She knew that being found out by Mizuki or Kurumi would be a lot of trouble…
However, one thing that piqued Takina’s interests was that one particular article. “Watch Horror and Find Your Lover’s Adorable Side.”
Horror? She stared at the article for a while. Honestly speaking, she didn’t know what a Horror Film is, or what Horror is, but if she gets to see some of Chisato’s adorable sides watching it… Maybe, it was a good thing to try? The two of them had an overnight scheduled for the day after. It would be a good idea to prepare for it. Chisato would definitely agree to watch something she would recommend, right?
Only… She did not expect things to turn out the way it did.
“Are you really sure you want to watch this?” Chisato looked at the packaging of the blu-ray that said ‘Ju-○n: The Gr○dge’ with a very scary cover of a girl’s eye and the rest is hair. “I didn’t know you’re into stuff like this.”
“…I only received this as a recommendation when I went to borrow it. I… don’t know yet if I’ll be into it or not.” Takina nodded as Chisato looked at the blu-ray. “Do you not want it?”
Chisato shook her head and smiled at Takina. “Hm-hm. I just don’t find myself watching horror much, but if you want to I’ll be happy to watch it with you.” She casually opened the blu-ray packaging and popped the disc into the CD tray of her player.
At first the two of them sat side by side on Chisato’s couch as the intro of the film played out. Although little by little, Chisato found it adorable how Takina’s now closely sitting next to her, their arms touching. Takina stared intently at the screen as one of the characters walked inside the house, the atmosphere eerie and silent. Suddenly, she turned to look at Chisato who was watching her and yelped.
“Kyaa!” Takina pushed away Chisato’s face as the face of one of the ghosts on the film suddenly peeked at the screen. “I- I’m sorry…”
Chisato shook her and smiled. “It’s fine.” She raised her arm as if inviting Takina to go inside her embrace as they watch. “Want in?”
Takina only blinked at her, without saying a word, she lifted her legs up from the floor and onto the couch, and slowly scooted under Chisato’s arms with a throw pillow in her arms.
Chisato rested her arm around Takina’s shoulders, but was surprised when she felt her arm moved from her shoulders down to her body, as if to secure her. “…So cute.”
Takina hid her face behind the throw pillow as Chisato gently held her hand on the throw pillow then they resumed her attention back to the movie.
When one of the characters were suddenly dragged up the stairs, Chisato found herself getting surprised by the jump scare, making her sit up straight. “O- Oh~ Okay, that one got me.” At the same time she sat up straight, she noticed the black haired girl curl right onto her under arm with her pillow of protection, taking her eyes away from the screen. Chisato gentle rubbed her arm before holding her hand again. “We can stop the movie if you want?”
Takina shook her head onto Chisato’s shoulders. “…I want to see the ending.”
Chisato smiled at her and leaned her head onto Takina’s head. “Okay.”
Although Takina had no expectations as to what ‘horror’ was, having searched the movie’s summary and story on the internet before watching it with Chisato, what was outside of her expectations was Chisato’s utmost immunity to it. When the scary part happens, or during lead-on silent parts, Takina found herself watching Chisato’s face instead of the film, she seemed to be having fun instead.
A bloodied hand reaches to the main character of the film, and then the screen turns black. A few seconds after the screen returns to the main menu of the blu-ray’s menu Chisato suddenly breathed a sigh of relief as if holding her breathe for the last few moments of the movie.
“Whew… That was a pretty intense ending.” Chisato blinked and used the remote and turned on the lights. “That was a pretty good movie. I’m a bit curious of the prequel and the sequel too— Takina…?”
Chisato turned to look at Takina who was still curled next to her on the couch, not moving, her eyes closed shut. “I- Is it done?”
“Yeah.” Chisato smiled as she patted Takina’s head. She turned off the screen of the TV. “There, off. Are you okay?”
“I- I think so.” Takina put down her feet to the floor and sat down normally. “Th- That was unexpected.”
“Agreed.” Chisato smiled as she watched Takina with a big grin.
“Wh- What?” Takina only looked at Chisato. “…I don’t think I’ll like the words coming out of your mouth soon.”
“So cute~ I didn’t expect you to be bad with horror.” Chisato wrapped her arms around Takina’s body and patted her head continuously. “There, there, theretheretheretherethere~ Everything is going to be fine~”
“S- Stop. Chisato!” Takina tried her best to escape from Chisato’s hug of steel, but found her legs falling asleep from being curled to her chest for a long time, and her arms jelly for staying in one position for a long time. “Chisato~!” She found back hitting the couch softly as she was pushed down.
“Ehehe~ Takina~” Chisato leaned her elbows on either side of Takina’s body. “You were so adorable but, I’ll understand if you don’t want to watch horror again. Should we just go back to action?”
“I- I’ll think about it…” Takina turned her gaze away.
“Do you want action or ‘action’?” Chisato grinned at her. Takina only blinked at her in confusion. “Action or ‘action’?”
“What’s the difference?” Takina asked in confusion.
“One’s a movie and the other is…” Chisato slowly closed in onto Takina’s face as she gently touched her lips with her own. “…this.”
Takina felt her heart race faster than it already was from the movies. Honestly speaking, she was not sure of what she needs right now in order to refocus her senses. “Why is it called ‘action’?” Takina closed her eyes slowly as she felt another kiss coming.
“I’m not sure either.” Chisato laughed at her. “Are you feeling better?”
“…I don’t know.” Takina breathed out the response before getting a rain of kisses on her forehead, cheeks, eyes, eyebrows, her nose and lips. “Chisato~”
“I thought that maybe if I increased the amount instead of only one or two, it’d be more effective.”
“…I thought you’d tease me more.” Takina glared at her with a blush.
Chisato furrowed her eyebrows as she thought about it for a moment. “Hm~ I would, but I think I’d want to comfort you more than tease you. I’ve never seen you afraid of anything, so I guess the want to protect you, than to tease you is stronger?”
“Stupid.” Takina gently smacked her face with a hand as she pushed Chisato’s face away.
“Mu~ Why would you push my face away, Takina-san?” Chisato spoke onto Takina’s palm.
“…Why aren’t you moving yet? You wanted some action, right?” Takina looked away and almost immediately felt her body leave the couch with two strong arms carrying her. “Chisato! At least say something!”
“Actions are louder than words!” Chisato laughed as she lifted Takina up bridal style and walked in a hurry towards the bedroom. “Right?”
“Geez…” Takina only shyly tapped her shoulders as Chisato ran towards the bedroom.
Although calculations were off, and there were not a lot of ‘adorable Chisato’ seen, in her eyes, a protective Chisato was actually adorable. It’s still a win for her. Maybe in some other ways she could still see them…
(Only For Tonight/END)
“Everyone! I’ve got an announcement to make!” Chisato puffed her chest forward as the regulars of the LycoReco Cafe turned their attention towards her and clapped. “The other day I discovered…”
Takina exited the dressing room and looked at Chisato who had her chest puffed out in confidence.
“Takina’s actually bad with horror!” She announced towards the regular of the cafe.
“Takina being bad at horror? That’s unexpected.” Kurumi raised an eyebrow and laughed. “Should we do like a test of courage before summer ends?”
“Maybe we should do one before Takina ends Chisato.” Mizuki laughed as Takina’s face turned beet red.
“Oh cra–” Chisato made a dash away as she narrowly dodged a flying ballpoint pen. “Th- That’s dangerous! Please don’t throw pointed objects!”
“I’m sure you could just dodge them just fine!” Takina chased her around as Chisato ran away.
Everyone in the cafe laughed in unison as Chisato exited out in a fast sprint, Takina hot on her heels.
“Chisatoooo!”
“Sorry!!!”
