Takina’s heart skipped a beat as she heard a familiar noise right outside her window. Usually a normal ‘person’ would use a door, but this wasn’t just any ordinary ‘person’. They used to just meet during specific seasons… and then they started to meet almost everyday, caring for each other. Living for each other. Nowadays it was an on-off meeting of every month, or every two months, for a few days. Takina didn’t want it, and she was sure the other ‘person’ didn’t want it either, but it was the only way people would approve of their relationship.

She calmly put a plate into the dishwasher, as she heard footsteps enter her room through the window. This ‘person’ always told her not to left her window but… they both know she always kept it open so she could come home any time.

“Happy~ Halloween~ If you don’t give me a treat, I’ll play a trick on you~” Takina turned around towards her open window with a sigh, as a white haired woman with black jeans and a white shirt with a long black cape entered her room.

“…I have a door?” Takina motioned for the door of her home as she sighed once again. “Chisato.”

“I thought that using the windows had more thrill anyway. Well? Trick or Treat~” Chisato raised both of her hands in the air, like how most ghosts would do if they’re scaring someone as she walked towards Takina who was washing dishes in the kitchen.

“I certainly do not have a treat.” Takina placed the last plate onto her plate rack and turned around to face Chisato who was already standing behind her, both hands trapping Takina to her kitchen counter. “Even if I had some treat, I doubt you actually came here for that?”

“Well, I could certainly just receive a treat and leave but is that how you’d want to treat your vampire lover who has been busy slaving for the DA? Besides, weren’t they searching for a vampire recently?” Chisato gave her a cheeky smile before rubbing her nose onto Takina’s cheek, trailing it down that white and delicious looking neck. “It wasn’t me, though? I was cleaning a mess up north when I caught wind that some of the DA are looking for a vampire in Tokyo… even though there’s still the truce.”

Takina inhaled deeply as she felt Chisato’s breathe tickle her neck, her nose trailing around that part between her shoulder and her neck. “That’s what I told them… but they said they wanted to see it for themselves.”

“Hm~” Chisato hummed as she turned to the other side of Takina’s neck, fleeting, but never touching. “I thought for sure you’d hunt for me too? It’s been two months.”

“I knew I didn’t have to search for you if I wanted to see you.” Takina bit on her lower lip as she felt a feathery kiss around the base of her neck. “B… Besides… I also thought that you’d be coming back around soon for your ‘meal’ too.” She took a sharp intake of breathe as she felt another kiss on the same spot.

“Mm~ As expected of my Takina, so smart.” Chisato kissed the same spot again before lingering her nose higher up that neck. “I’m sorry I haven’t been back for a while. There were too many missions tasked to me by the DA…” She planted her lips softly onto that spot between Takina’s neck and her jaw before lifting her head up to meet amethyst eyes. “I wanted to visit more… but they told me they wanted to know how long I’d last without seeing you.”

“It’s… okay.” Takina turned away from those intense red pupils. “…How long are you going to be here?”

“I’ll be here for a few days. I made them give me the days off.” Chisato smiled at her, a mischievous one.

Takina turned to look at Chisato with a flat expression. “Who have you been feeding on for the past two months you were gone?”

Chisato’s expression turned serious. “…No one.” The hands that were pinning Takina on the sides of the kitchen counter gently moved and rested itself around Takina’s waist. “So as you can see… I’m extremely starving…” Those red eyes glinted under light as it traced from Takina’s lips, to her neck, her fangs shining as she spoke.

Takina blinked as her body heated up from the intense stare. She knew she was going to be eaten, and she waited for it a long time. She reached for the ribbon tying the cape around Chisato’s neck, tugging on it as the cape dropped to the floor. “…H- Here?”

“A bite here, and a kiss on the bed… or vice versa?” Chisato asked with a smile. “I’ve been a good girl this year… Following the DA’s rules, and doing my best to help out with the DA’s requests so I could keep on living with you, and date  you… Don’t I deserve some reward?”

Takina knew she was going to be eaten, and the choices presented before her were both going to happen there, in the kitchen, where they were standing, and honestly, she was starting not to mind. “Chisato…”

“Hm?” Chisato tilted her head to one side, not predicting those warm lips on her own. “Takina…?”

“Good work out there…?” Takina smiled at her clumsily as she wrapped her arms around Chisato’s shoulders.

“If I break these kitchen counters, you won’t be angry, right?” Chisato’s eyes glinted as she look into equally fiery purple ones. “Because I don’t think I can hold back if you keep on doing your adorable human thing…”

“You’d have to fix it afterwards?” Takina smiled at her. “Zero destruction would be the best, however.”

“No promises. I’ve been waiting a while.” Chisato whispered onto her lips before taking in those plump looking lips into a deep and wanting kiss. “Takina… Mm… Nn…”

Takina closed her eyes as that exploring tongue entered her mouth in a hungry kiss. She tightly hugged Chisato’s shoulders as the hungry kiss ended followed by a trail of wet kisses down her neck. “Ah… Mm… Chisato…”

Chisato gently kissed around Takina’s jaw, then to the base of her jaw and neck, down to the side of her neck, and to that delicious looking area around her shoulder and neck.

Takina tilted her head away as each lick on her neck made her shiver. Chisato continued licking the same spot, sucking on it, but not quite biting.

“Ah… Hah…” Takina panted as she grabbed onto Chisato’s clothes. She closed her eyes as Chisato suddenly stopped, only feeling her light breathing on her skin. “Chisa… Ah…!” Those sharp fangs suddenly dug onto her skin, as she felt blood being sucked from her veins.

Takina rested her face onto Chisato’s shoulders as her hands grabbed onto every available clothing around Chisato’s back. Chisato smiled as she licked her own lips, before licking around the four fang puncture wounds around Takina’s neck. Licking one puncture diligently until they stopped bleeding.

“Thank you for the meal.” Chisato rubbed Takina’s back up and down to relax her. “Are you okay? Does it still hurt?”

Takina lifted her head up from Chisato’s shoulders and shook it, panting as she leaned her face onto Chisato’s ears. “…Are we stopping here?”

“Eh?” Chisato swallowed as Takina’s low and husky voice tickled her ear.

“…Weren’t you going to play a trick on me?”

Chisato felt her instincts pulsate as she swiftly lifted Takina in a bridal carry.

“Don’t blame me if we break your bed.”

Omake

“Chisato.” Takina opened her eyes before turning around to face the vampire with a never ending grin in front of her in their bed. “Are you really going to be able to stay a few days?”

“Hm? What’s this? Feeling a little be spoiled?” Chisato wrapped her arms around Takina’s naked body under the warmth of their blanket, trailing her hands softly around those slender hips. “Takina-san?”

“No… It’s just that… Maybe we could go out on a date?” Takina turned her gaze away as she blushed from her ears to neck. “If you wanted to just… stay like this too, it’s fine.”

“I’ll definitely go on a date.” Chisato smiled at her warmly, kissing her forehead. “Maybe not if the sun is too high up…”

“I thought the DA was giving you something about that?” Takina watched Chisato’s face, putting out her hand as she gently touched Chisato’s cheeks, trailing it down to her jaw. “It also helps with hiding your fangs?” She continued trailing her index finger from Chisato’s jaw towards those pink lips, before gently pushing it upward to touch one of Chisato’s fangs.

“Yeah… But you like my fangs, right?” Chisato grinned at her.

“Idiot.” Takina suddenly pushed her face away with her palm.

“To answer your question… I guess I’m still not used to moving under sunlight.” Chisato raised an eyebrow as she tried to think of an answer to her question. “I still have a habit of doing work at night.”

Takina listened to Chisato’s words, and then suddenly her eyes widened as if she had suddenly thought of something. “Chisato.”

“Yeah?”

“Do you not sparkle under the sun?”

“…Why would I sparkle under the sun?”

“…How long have you been seventeen?”

“I’m forever 25 though…? Like you. Well, you’re like 24.” Chisato poked Takina’s cheek with a finger as she looked at her amusingly. “What’s going on?”

“I saw a sort of old movie playing on the TV a while back, it was about some teenage vampires, and they sparkle under sunlight… I thought that maybe that’s the reason why you disliked it.” Takina blinked as she answered.

“Pfft. Aren’t you letting movies influence you too much?”

“Who was it that recommended them to me?”

“…Damn, that’s me.” Chisato facepalmed herself, then sighed. “Well… You’re cute so I forgive you.”

“Hm?”

“Nothing. Say, Takina.”

“Yes?”

“…Up for one more round?”

“…If we’re going on a date, later…” Takina looked up Chisato who had just pushed her back down the bed as she wrapped her arms around Chisato’s shoulders. “…Sure…?”

Hnng, cute alert. Chisato closed her eyes as if something had just struck her. “I’ll do my best not to overdo it then…”

“I somehow find that unbelievable…”

“Believe in me sometimes.”

The reason of how they had to purchase steel beds that day would be a story for another time.
