“Well then, Nishikigi-san. Welcome to the show!” An elegantly dressed lady in a pantsuit sat comfortable on a long couch. She smiled at the top idol Nishikigi Chisato, with a placard in her hands.

Top Idol Nishikigi Chisato from the Agency DI (Direct Idol) sat on a single person couch chair adjacent to the interviewer who introduced herself Shinohara Saori. Chisato wore her own personal clothes for this interview instead of her usual idol outfits. Most people would say that what she was wearing was plain, but her red long sleeves paired together with a plain high-waist long skirt was something she made shine.

“Thank you for inviting me!” Chisato answered with a bow followed by a bright smile. The on-site audience clapped as the show guesting and interview started. At the back stage, the show director approached an equally fashionable black haired lady.

“Inoue-kun.” He approached the black haired girl who had a VIP ID with the name ‘Inoue Takina – Manager’. “I’m really glad you were able to make it to today’s guesting. It must have been tough rearranging her scheduling for this day.”

“Ah, Gotou-san. Good day.” Takina bowed at the much larger guy and smiled. “It was her who wanted to go to the show today. What is it that motivated her, I’m quite unsure…”

“Ah…” Gotou put a hand under his chin, before snapping his fingers. “It’s probably that.”

“That?” Takina blinked as Gotou pointed at the stage where Chisato was being interviewed.

“Today’s ‘Good Couple Day’ right? We always asks on the day’s guest about their love life.” Gotou laughed as he patted Takina’s shoulder. “Isn’t that so?”

“E- Eh? U- Um… You don’t think she would… Right?” Takina blinked as she felt her cheeks heat up.

In this industry, it’s an idol’s death if they were caught in a dating scandal, however, everyone who has worked with Nishikigi-Inoue knew that this pair of idol-manager was dating. Although neither of them has confirmed it, it was evident in their interactions, and especially Takina’s reactions that confirms it for the two of them.

“I’m sure she won’t say something too obvious but… who knows?” Gotou laughed.

“Speaking of the day today, it’s November 22nd. Good Couple Day.” Saori smiled as Chisato nodded. “If you had a special someone in this day, what would you like to do with them to celebrate this day?”

Chisato smiled. “Hm~ That’s a good question. Given this occupation, you know that I don’t get a lot of days off… but I’d like to have a day together with that special someone.” She answered solemnly, looking around the audience before seemingly landing her eyesight at a certain corner. “I hope that they won’t be too stubborn about taking a day off, and spending it just at home for each other.” To close in on her answer, she winked at the direction she was looking at, right at the same moment the camera focused in on her face.

The audience cheered with claps and cheers as Saori herself smiled as well.

“Haha…” Gotou turned to look at Takina who was already covering her face with both hands, her ears red in a bright blush.

“You spoke that like you actually had someone special. Is there anyone who has your attention right now?”

“That’s a very good question, Saori-san but…” Chisato turned her gaze onto the cameras, an index finger in front of her mouth. “…it’s a secret.” Then an ending wink.

“What kind of lover would you be, once with your ideal lover?” Saori followed up that immediately earned nods and applaud from the audience.

“Hm~ I feel like everything you see is what I would be but… I’d treasure them, and be sweet only to them, in every aspect. Respect their wants and likes… Their time. Everything.” She had a solemn expression as she looked at her hands, then towards the interviewer, then the audience. “I want them to feel special all the time.”

“That’s very sweet…” Saori almost had tears in her eyes as she nodded. “I think that’s beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Chisato grinned.

“Please stop…” Takina spoke behind her hands as Gotou only patted her shoulders comfortingly. “…Chisato.”

Soon after the interview ended, and surprisingly than usual, Takina agreed to let Chisato drive the company car, instead of the other way around. The two of them stayed in a comforting silence, with Takina not saying a word after “Good work today.” And Chisato’s reassuring “Thank you.”

They entered the condominium they shared together, and right the moment Takina locked the door behind her, she was engulfed in a warm and comforting hug.

“Taaakina. I’m sorry.” Chisato whispered into her ears as as she tightened her hug.

“It’s fine.” Takina wrapped her arms around Chisato’s body as she rested her cheeks onto Chisato’s body. “…You could have at least warned me.”

“But then it wouldn’t have been special if I did say it, right?” Chisato kissed Takina’s forehead and hugged her again.

“Special?” Takina blinked.

“Saori-san said she wasn’t planning on asking it given that I’m an idol, but I told her to feel free and ask it anyway.” Chisato parted from the hug and Takina pushed her shoulder away shyly.

“Why would you do something like that? What if she had pressed for more and some rumors start up around you?” Takina pressed her forehead onto Chisato’s jaw.

“I’m at the point in my life that I don’t really care about the career… You know I always wanted to settle down with you soon.” Chisato embraced Takina again warmly. “Or… you know? Tell them about this idol-manager relationship.”

“…I don’t know how your fans would take it.”

“Did you not know?”

“Know what?”

“My fans already ships you and me. They’re calling it ‘ChisaTaki’ or something like that.” Chisato smiled at her brightly, eyes round and sparkling.

Takina only stared at her flatly. “Why does your name have to be at the front?”

“Does it matter? Maybe they think I’m the top in this relationship? I mean they’re not entirely wrong–“

“Is that so? Then maybe I should just go home to my own flat today then.”

“Ahhh~ Taaaakiiinaaa~” Chisato caged Takina in her arms to prevent her from opening the door she had just locked.

“Even if you say that, there would still be people who do not approve of such things. Especially, your male fans.”

“You know, I just do what I want, right? If announcing to the public meant the downfall of my career, I don’t really mind, you know? I just want to be able to be intimate with you in public.”

“I’d rather you not do such things, as to they are embarrassing.”

“I’d place my advances in the proper places!”

“I have doubts but for now I’ll trust you.” The two of them parted from the hug and finally removed their shoes as they finally entered their home. “I’ll think about it.”

“How about until my next interview?”

“…I’ll think about it.”

“Please take care of me, then. Manager-san.”

“Yes, yes.”
