※The MC here will be referred to as “Stelle”.
“Say that again?” Seele narrowed her eyes as she looked at a piece of paper in her hand.
“I picked this up from Bronya’s office, and it’s her daily schedule.” Stelle explained as Seele blinked once, twice, and held her head with a hand. “That’s quite a dense schedule…”
“If you’ve got a word that meant ‘inhumane and packed’ that could be it.” Seele said and pushed the paper back to Stelle’s hand. “That’s just insane… but I understand.”
“It must be tough being the Supreme Guardian now…” March 7th nodded as she crossed her arms in front of her. “If that were me, I would have snuck out and did something else.”
“I think you would just sneak past everything after ‘Getting dressed, and do make up’.” Dan Heng chimed in with his usual tone as March 7th gave him a glare.
“You are right, and it’s undeniable!” March 7th retorted at him as Stelle and Seele only watched them banter.
“Are you going to see Bronya today?” Stelle asked as Seele gave a sigh.
“After seeing that schedule? Probably not. I’ll just wait for her to call for me.” Seele placed a fist on her waist as she sighed. “Are you guys leaving soon?”
“We just need to drop something by with Natasha, but yes. See you around, Seele.” Stelle waved at her before dragging March 7th and Dan Heng away.
“See ya.” Seele waved at them with a small smile before turning around to stare at the blue skies. “A fully packed schedule, huh…”
Both Bronya and Seele knew that on most days they couldn’t be together nor could they be seen together. What would the people of Belobog say if they had caught the now-Supreme Guardian being around an Underworlder? They both agreed to be careful of each other’s status especially in public but…
“…It didn’t mean not seeing each other for weeks, right?” Seele looked over Rivet Town as she stood near the cliff of the orphanage. She turned to look at her watch and noticed it was almost 23:30.
23:00 – 23:30 Free time around the residence
23:30 – Bedtime
Without formulating an actual decision, she left Rivet Town and headed for the Overworld.
The Administrative District was charming in the day, but seeing it in the evening was also as captivating. The people likely has been used to curfew hours for their safety, guarded everyday by the Silvermane guards.
However, the tall building that was the Qliporth Forth felt far more intimidating. The residency of the Supreme Guardian… where Seele’s current obsession lie, Bronya Rand.
“What am I doing, I should just…” Seele turned to walk back around to the Backwater Pass but stopped dead in her tracks as she recollected their final battle with Cocolia.
The tears Bronya shed, her fatigued expression, her weakened state… Remembering from Gepard and Stelle’s words that she hasn’t recovered fully, Seele used the quantum space for invisibility as she gritted her teeth, and infiltrated the Supreme Guardian’s home.
Somehow the feeling of not being by the Princess’ side ate away inside her, but at the same time she just couldn’t bare to stay inside that ice palace the whole day. It annoyed her, but she knew that she and Bronya had an agreement, as well as that she had a promise to keep.
The Supreme Guardian’s home was huge. It wasn’t like it was Seele’s first time to go there, but it felt weird to be inside it in the evening. She had snuck in together a returning maid through the back door. There were lights everywhere, and red carpet on every single flooring.
“How much do their electricity bill cost?” Seele thought as she continued to follow the maid inside the big house in hopes of finding Bronya.
“Please don not worry, Sonya. I will sleep as instructed on time.” came the gentlest voice Seele yearned for.
“I remember those exact words yesterday as well, Milady. If you need help…” Trailed the strict but calm voice.
“It will be okay. You may go.” The gentle voice insisted as Seele hurried over towards them.
Seele snuck past the Head Maid named ‘Sonya’ right the doors to Bronya’s room closed barely making her fit in the gap.
It was the first time she had seen her in a sleeping gown. A long white gown, with those usually curled hair, now flow straight down her slender back.
Her delicate and slender arms and hands that were normally clad in gloves, those cute and small feet that were usually covered in boots and tights.
“Bronya.”
Bronya immediately pivoted as she turned around towards the source of the voice, completely off-guard as the door shut behind her.
“Who goes the– Seele!?” Grey eyes widened as Seele fully materialized, and a glint of butterflies disappeared into thin air. She quickly covered her mouth in fright that her maid who had just left would immediately go back. “Seele? Why are you here?”
“…There wasn’t a particular reason.” Seele looked away as she scratched the back of her head with a hand. “Before I realized it, I was already here.”
“…I see.” Bronya smiled at her as she walked towards Seele and took her hand. “…I was just thinking about you.”
“Were you?” Seele raised an eyebrow as she held onto Bronya’s soft hands tugging at it towards her. Bronya nodded with a small smile, and that small smile was enough to urge her to show a smile of her own. “How are you?”
“…I’ve been doing okay.” Bronya answered softly as she looked at their intertwined hands. “But now I feel much better.”
“…I- Is that so? Good, then.” Seele scratched her cheek as she held onto Bronya’s hand tighter.
The two of them stood still, staying in that comforting silence, with only each other’s warmth in each other’s hands to let one another know that they’re still there.
Seele turned to look at the grey-haired woman next to her. The petite body that was usually clad in armor and defensive clothing was completely bare covered with just a piece of white gown. Who thought that Seele would find herself interested in what lies beyond that white garb. She shook her head as she tugged at Bronya’s hand. “W-Well, I should go now then–“
Seele tried to walk away from Bronya as they both suddenly heard footsteps coming towards the bedroom. The two of them turned to the clock that said 24:00 and knew immediately what was happening.
Bronya tugged onto Seele’s red armband as Seele found herself pulled towards the bed before she could escape into the quantum space to hide.
“Bronya! What are you–“
“Shh!” Bronya placed an index finger in front of her lips before her pulling at Seele to hide under her bed sheets as Bronya slipped in, pushing Seele’s face down to her breasts and wrapped her legs around Seele’s legs. She quickly pulled the sheets over to her shoulders and closed her eyes as the door to her room opened.
Sonya, the head maid, walked towards Bronya’s bed to check on her, and make sure that she was sleeping before quietly leaving.
Seele swallowed the knot stuck in her throat as her ears throbbed, unsure if it was her own heartbeat, or Bronya’s. The soft peaks touching both of her cheeks as strong slender arms were wrapped tightly around her shoulders.
The door to the room creaked open, then shortly slammed shut.
“B- Bronya?” Seele spoke under the sheets as Bronya remained silent. “Bronya? Is everything okay?”
Seele looked up from where she was and was met with flustered grey eyes and rosy cheeks.
“I- I’m sorry, I did not know what came over me…” Bronya turned away her gaze as she gently unwrapped herself from Seele and slowly sat up from the bed. “Seele…”
“Y- Yeah… It’s okay. You know, I could always just escape through the quantum space but you know, what we did worked just as well too!” Seele slowly untangled herself from Bronya’s bed but before she could stand up, she felt a piece of her clothing being tugged at again, the tail of her cape this time, and found herself sitting back on the bed. “Uh… Can we quit it with the pulling on my clothes?”
“I’m sorry…” Bronya apologized once again as she promptly let go of Seele’s clothes.
Seele turned to look at her and felt something inside her snap as she put a palm on her face.
“Ah, geez! I didn’t come here just to hear you apologize to me!” Seele sat down on Bronya’s bed properly and turned to face her. “I came here because I haven’t seen you in weeks! I was worried!”
“Seele… I’m s–“
“If that’s an apology coming out of that pretty mouth of yours I’m not having it.” Seele raised a finger as she pointed at Bronya’s lips.
“Seele… Thank you.”
“Now, that’s more like it.” Seele smiled at her as she crossed her arms. “How have you been? Be honest.”
Bronya only smiled at her weakly. “…Tired. There is a lot of things to do, to think about, to make. I feel like no matter how many I do, the problems just keeps on piling up.”
“Then, now’s the chance to rest up.” Seele smiled at her as she gently took Bronya’s hand into her own. “I won’t forgive you if get all spent up without fulfilling our promise.”
“…I won’t. Our promise together is very important to me.” Bronya smiled at her warmly as Seele felt her cheeks heat up immediately.
“G- Good!” Seele felt Bronya’s fingers entwine with her own once again, then she remembered something. “Bronya. The trailblazers showed me something. It’s apparently your densely packed schedule. Is that real?”
“Ah… It must be that one that Sonya had me do while I was being trained to take over as the Supreme Guardian.” Bronya turned to look at her in confusion. “…Was that the reason you decided to visit at this time?”
“Yeah… I figured that maybe you’d have some free time now.” Seele smiled at her wryly. “Bronya… Make some time for me in your new schedule.”
Bronya looked at her in shock before smiling shortly. “What would you like for me to put as description for that time period? A meeting with an Underworlder?”
“No.” Seele gave her a knowing smile as she moved towards Bronya, the weight on the large bed shifting as she closed in to her body. “Call it ‘A Moment of Your Time’.”
Their lips touched in a chaste kiss as they both closed their eyes enjoying the warm moment.
Seele pressed their foreheads together as Bronya opened her eyes and spoke softly. “Then, I will give you a moment of my time.”
