One Sunday in the Misumi-Togawa household… Although they had previously talked about going out, it had turned into a stay-at-home day due to the typhoon.

While it was rare for Sakiko and Hatsune to get a day off together, Sakiko decided to catch up on some school work, and office work, much to Hatsune’s disappointment but…

“She never says anything…” Sakiko mumbled to herself as she pressed a key on her piano and logged it to the music sheet.

Her disappointment was written all over her beautiful face, and her flopped non-existent dog ears, but all she said was “Mm! Good luck, Saki-chan! If you need me, I’ll just be downstairs!”

While all Sakiko had to do was to crawl a little to peek at the blonde, she hadn’t been able to do it since she started four hours ago. It was hard to stop once she was in the zone.

Speaking of peeking, she suddenly noticed a white cup next to her with… tea in it.

“How long has that been there?” Sakiko mumbled to herself as she reached for the mug, and it was lukewarm. “Maybe an hour or two?”

Golden eyes looked at the corner of her laptop and it was 16:47.

She decided to now go and find her gentle, and caring lover. Sakiko removed her headphones and set them on the floor of the loft.

“Hatsune?” She called, and odd enough, did not receive a response. “Hatsune?”

Sakiko peeked below, and noticed her blonde companion on the couch. She went down the loft and walked towards her.

Hatsune had her eyes closed as she lay sideways on the couch. Her back on the backrest, left hand outstretched towards Sakiko, with a pillow wedged between her forearm and head. Her right hand was just on her side together with straight legs, her feet almost dangling on the end.

“Has she grown taller?” Living together with somebody for the past year, sometimes you don’t notice the most obvious changes, like height.

Sakiko went out of the living room and grabbed a thin blanket. On second look, she noticed Hatsune’s phone was on the verge of leaving her outstretched left hand. She softly removed it and set it on the coffee table.

She smiled as she watched Hatsune’s peaceful sleeping face. Sakiko softly covered Hatsune’s body with the blanket. She turned to look at the large windows that led to the balcony, and watched the rain pour.

The sun wasn’t going to show itself the whole day, so might as well… “Fwaaah…” Sakiko yawned as the pitter patter of the rain continued.

She turned her attention back to her warm looking roommate.

Purple eyes opened promptly.

“I fell asleep…” Hatsune tried to lift up her head but was overcome with left shoulder pain. “Uu… I totally slept in a bad position…”

She looked down in front of her and noticed a blanket that was pulled up to her chin and on top of that were familiar light blue hair.

“Eh…? Saki-chan…?” Hatsune picked up the blanket to peek underneath, and to her surprise, Sakiko was curled next to her. Both arms in front of her body, and legs curled inside, like a cat. Her head wasn’t resting on Hatsune’s outstretched arm, surely, her hair was. “Saki-chan…”

Hatsune smiled warmly as she stretched her right arm over the blanket and rested it across Sakiko’s body to prevent her from falling over. She closed her eyes once again and let the rain lull her back to sleep.

It wasn’t long until golden orbs opened to the sight of Hatsune’s lips close to her nose, and two arms wrapped around Sakiko’s body tightly, as if frantically preventing her from falling.

She smiled at the warm protection and slowly angled her face upward to lightly kiss Hatsune’s sweet looking lips. Soon, golden orbs were met by sleepy looking purple ones.

“Saki-chan…” Hatsune closed her eyes once again as she proceeded to wrap her arms tighter, engulfing the Togawa heiress in a tight hug. “What time is it?”

“I don’t know.” was Sakiko’s prompt answer. “I’ve been squished here for a while with nowhere to go.”

“Mm.” Hatsune answered with a hum and squeezed tighter as she closed her eyes. “Warm Saki-chan.”

“Uh-huh.” Sakiko nodded in the embrace.

The calm silence engulfed them as the pitter patter of the rain continued outside. Sakiko continued to watch Hatsune’s peaceful face, as Hatsune still had her eyes closed, and her arms tightly wrapped around Sakiko’s body.

“Hatsune.”

“Mm~?”

“I would like to talk to you about something.” Sakiko’s tone wasn’t too serious, but Hatsune opened her eyes and loosened her arms a little to look at her. “Don’t look at me like that.”

Hatsune’s purple eyes met gold, but her mouth was in a frown, and so were her invisible dog ears. “Mm…”

“I wanted to ask you for a favor.”

“A favor? If it’s within my means, of course I’ll do it.”

“Thank you. So my favor is… I would like you to express your emotions more freely with me.” Sakiko smiled at her wryly. “Like today.”

“Today…?” Hatsune blinked.

“We couldn’t go out because of the typhoon, and instead of spending time with you, I went and caught up with school, and work.” Sakiko watched Hatsune’s expression, still unchanging from her frown. “How did you feel about that?”

“I- I understand…?” Hatsune blinked as she looked down.

“Not that, the other one.”

Sakiko knew that Hatsune understood.

“…It made me feel sad…? And disappointed…” Hatsune frowned once again, but to her surprise, it earned her a sweet kiss on the lips instead. “Saki-…chan…?”

Sakiko smiled at her. “Well said.”

“B- But…”

“I know that you try not to trouble people, but what I am saying is…” Sakiko softly placed her index finger on Hatsune’s chin as they spoke. “…I want you to trouble me.”

“E- Ehh? But I don’t want to be of trouble to you…” Hatsune frowned once again.

“But what you define as ‘trouble for me’, I don’t consider trouble at all.” Sakiko smiled at her. “I want to spoil you, so I want you to be transparent with me.”

“I- Is that really… fine?”

“Yes.”

“Y- You won’t… hate me?”

A soft kiss.

“I love you.”

“Th- Then…” Hatsune moved her hand from Sakiko’s lower back a little higher as she turned her body to face her. “I was… a little sad when you didn’t spend time with me…”

“I’m sorry. What can I do to make it up to you?” Sakiko smiled gently as Hatsune returned a clumsy smile.

“Please spend the rest of your evening with me…?” Hatsune asked, her invisible dog ears flopped forward as she frowned.

“Consider it done.” Sakiko smiled as she watched the color return to Hatsune’s face, and her dog ears up and alert, while her tail moved left and right. “What do you want to do?”

“There’s a movie I wanted to watch with you.” Hatsune smiled as her ears sparkled. Then, there was a hand patting her on the head. “Saki-chan…?”

“Great job. Good kids deserve a head pat for being good.”

“Ehehe…” Hatsune smiled brightly as she enjoyed the head pat.

“From now on, do this with me, okay? When you’re disappointed, tell me. When you’re sad, tell me. When you’re tired, or bored, I want you to tell me.” Sakiko softly kissed Hatsune’s lips once again. “Got it?”

“Okay…” Hatsune smiled as she returned the kiss. “…Saki-chan.”

“Mm?”

“I love you.”

“I love you, too, Hatsune.”

Needless to say, a soft and sweet Sakiko was not safe from that evening’s activities, and their promised movie night was rescheduled on a different date.
