A university setting AU featuring the Ave Mujica and MyGO cast, especially centered around Umiri and Taki, and their first meeting, and as well as their blossoming romance. Umiri!top/Futanari.

If ya’ll fine with that, go ahead and read~

Shiina Taki sipped her milk chocolate drink with a bored expressioned as her gaze followed the movements of a certain blacked haired person with turquoise eyes, a huge following of fangirls and fanboys, with her bass in a hard case.

It wasn’t like there was anything that made her feel unsatisfied about her school life in this university. She was happily studying what she liked (veterinary medicine), and some of her friends from her old band, CRYCHIC, were also in the same university.

It wasn’t like she was also unhappy about laying eyes on this person in ripped jeans, a tanktop and a biker jacket. She was pretty, she will give her that, but she was never one for the popular type… She will never like the popular type.

When the black haired girl was about to turn to meet her eyes, Taki immediately turned away and met eye to eye with a good friend that she didn’t want to see the most right now.

“Rikki~ Oogling Yahata-san at today’s lunch again?” Anon looked at her with a knowing grin as she lay her tray on the table, and sat next to Taki. “I already told you, you should just get Sakiko-chan to introduce you two.” She sighed and shook her head as she grabbed her chopsticks and started eating.

“…I’m fine with just looking. Besides…” Taki sighed as she turned back towards the black haired female, and accidentally caught her eyesight. I didn’t really have a good first impression with her.

Yahata Umiri’s face lit up as she waved at her.

Taki’s eyes widened as she shyly raised a hand, turned away then used the same hand to lightly cover her face.

“Oh? Did she just wave at you? Rikki~ What’s going on?” Anon nudged Taki as Taki’s elbows slid off the wooden cafeteria table. “Tell me~”

“It’s nothing. Leave me alone.” Taki pushed back at Anon, but before she could escape another person sat on her other side. “Wha–“

“Good day. I take it that your classes today are from the afternoon?” Sakiko hooked her hair behind her ears as she lay a light blue colored pouch with her usual lunchbox inside it. “Oh my. If it isn’t Umiri.”

“You two…” Taki closed her eyes in exasperation as she pinched the bridge of her nose. “No, I don’t have class in the afternoon. I’ll be in the library after.”

“Ah. Still on with your math problems?” Anon looked at her with a teasing grin. “I told you, you should just ask Soyorin to tutor you.”

“I’m not gonna ask Soyo to tutor me. She’s got better things to do.” Taki sighed.

“Umiri is really good with math.” Sakiko turned to Taki and opened up her lunch box, that was always very scrumptiously looking, and likely made with love. “…She always goes too far with these…”

I know she’s good at math. Taki sighed as she raised an eyebrow at Sakiko’s lunch box. “You two sure do that so consistently…”

“She’s already so busy with her work, school, and the band but she still finds time to make them…” Sakiko sighed. “I really should pay her back for her kindness sometime soon.”

“Mm~ Sakiko-chan, you sure are loved so much by Hatsune-san~” Anon nodded as she looked at Sakiko’s two layer lunch box filled with a lot of Sakiko’s favorite food. “Ah~ I miss Soyorin’s lunch boxes…”

“Does Soyo not make them for you anymore?” Sakiko turned to Anon with curiosity.

“She’s been really busy lately. Business major, and all that maths…” Anon sighed and started eating her food.

“Ah… It is exam period soon.” Sakiko nodded. “I would have to help Hatsune with hers as well since she’s been so busy.”

Taki leaned her elbow on the table as she rested her jaw over her hand and listened to her two friends.

It was how she usually spent her noon break in between university classes. Due to her endangered math subjects, she would mostly find herself in the library practicing her math equations. After all, it was important to measure dosages of medicine to be administered or given to the animals, and she couldn’t bear the guilt of making a mistake.

…and aside from that, she needed to regain some of her confidence after her first meeting with the object of her affections, the school’s most popular bassist from the music course, Yahata Umiri.

A few weeks ago…

A clear file on hand with her test papers in it, and a cup of iced coffee in hand. With a lack of sleep due to overnight composing a new song for MyGO, and trying to check over what went wrong with her math exams, she was running late, and had zero energy to digest whatever she’s looking at on these papers.

“Ugh… I hate this class.” Her paper in hand and her coffee on the had her focus before she could look at where she was going.

Tripping on a piece of lodged rock on the otherwise grassy indoor park of the university, Taki felt both of her hands let go of whatever she was holding as a bunch of papers flew up the air, followed by the plastic coffee cup crashing on grass with its contents emptied.

She closed her eyes as she folded her arms in front of her to protect her wrists and attempted to land on her crossed forearms and her hips… but instead of impact, a strong pair of arms caught her steadily.

“…Are you all right?” The voice asked, not so far from the top of her head.

Taki opened one eye first as she peeked, followed by her other. In front of her were sturdy looking shoulders, and warm arms around her waist as they embraced.

“A- Ah… Thank you…” Taki mustered a few words before softly pushing herself off this lady’s arms. “She smells like a nice scent of lemon…”

Then while she was still dazed, not bothering to look at her savior, she started to crouch down to clean up her spilled coffee cup. It was on grass, the least that would happen to them would be to have insomnia, but above that it was her papers.

She started picking up her papers and noticed that her savior had picked one up…

“Pfft.”

Taki furrowed her eyebrows as she quickly turned around and finally saw the jet black haired woman that saved her. “Did she just laugh at me?”

When the woman put down the paper, it was evident to her that it was that woman she had been watching at the cafeteria. Yahata Umiri.

“…I didn’t expect the vet med course’s popular beauty would be bad at math.” The knuckle over her mouth as she tried not to laugh at Taki’s embarrassing grade enhanced her handsome features. “That’s adorable of you, Shiina Taki-san.”

“D- Don’t look at my name!” Taki tried to swipe her paper, but Umiri turned around and evaded her. “Hey!”

“Hm, hm. This one could be better, also that one…” Umiri checked over her answers. “I think it’s not bad.”

“You laughed at it.” Taki put both her hands on her waist as she glared at Umiri.

“My apologies.” The nice face apologized to her with a wry smile, then handed her the paper. “Yahata Umiri. Please feel free to call me Umiri, Taki-san.”

“O- Okay.” Taki quickly took the paper and put it in her clearfile. “Th- Thanks.” She then nodded at Umiri without looking into those pretty eyes and quickly left.

Now… How could such an embarrassing first meeting lead to… this?

Present time, after lunch

Taki looked through the bookshelf as she had taken a math book out of it. On the other side was one Yahata Umiri, who also had a book in hand.

The surprised bassist’s expression turned into a big smile. “Taki-san…!”

“Ugh, this is the worst.” Taki mumbled to herself as she quickly turned around with her book, in an attempt to find a table far far away from Umiri, but she had longer legs that chased her so quickly.

Before she could even say a word, the black haired Ave Mujica bassist was already on a chair in front of her. Taki gave her the meanest glare she could muster… but unfortunately it had no effect.

“Here to study the maths?” Umiri grinned as she leaned over the long desk. “Taki-san~”

Taki sighed and completely gave up. “She looks like she’d grow some large dog ears and sparkles as she smiled.” She just shrugged her shoulders and looked away. “Yeah, I’m gonna practice solving them.”

“Do you need help?” Umiri grinned.

“No, thank you.” Taki answered curtly and opened her notebook as she read through the book she just took.

“May I sit here and share the table with you?” Umiri asked again with a gentle smile.

“You’re already sitting, and ugh, do whatever. Be silent, this is a library!” Taki glared while she scolded the black haired beauty with a shushed tone.

“My apologies, then I’ll be staying here. Thank you.” Umiri nodded, satisfied and turned her attention to her own book.

“What’s with this pretty face!?” Taki shook her head, a mix of dissatisfaction and annoyance in her heart. She attempted to focus on her own studies, it was around two in the afternoon.

While it wasn’t a regular thing for Shiina Taki, being hyperfocused on a task was one of her things. She ignored her surroundings, and digested what she was doing like a regular meal… which was why she hadn’t noticed Umiri move from in front of her, to next to her.

“This one’s wrong.”

Suddenly, there was a finger with black painted nails, on her notes pointing at a number. Taki felt her heart jump in surprise as her voice caught in her throat, and a soft hand was on her mouth to silence her scream.

Umiri smiled at her wryly as Taki gave her an extremely pointed glare, one hand over her chest in surprise.

“I didn’t mean to surprise you.” Umiri removed her hand from Taki’s mouth. “But I thought I’d point it out before leaving.”

“Eh? Ah.” Taki turned to the large clock, and noticed it was already around past six. “You didn’t have to stay that long.”

Umiri shook her head. “It was pretty fun, don’t worry about it. We have band practice so I’ve got to go now.” She smiled at her. “Great job on the practice questions. The one I mentioned, try a different approach, maybe? See you, Taki-san.”

“O- Okay. Bye…” Taki waved her pen holding hand as she watched Umiri leave the library with one last nod. “A different approach?” She turned back to her notes and finally noticed that it was indeed a different question that needed a different way of solving. “…Maybe she isn’t so bad after all?”

To Taki, their first meeting was extremely bad. It was definitely not a good look to show your weakness (maths) to a stranger, much less, to the person you probably like. Although she wouldn’t admit yet that she liked one Yahata Umiri, her impression of her was definitely changing, and it was one that’s been becoming harder and harder to ignore.

Their not-so-secret meetings in the library started to increase. More often than not, Taki was sure that Umiri was starting to come exactly, with the purpose of being with her, rather than because she wanted to go to the library to read.

“I told you, you didn’t have to stay here with me… I can manage on my own.” Taki turned away, her jaw on her hand as Umiri looked over her papers. Probably…

“And I’ve said it many times, Taki-san. I’m here, because I wanted to be here.” Umiri read each solution carefully, looking it over multiple times. “I also enjoy being of use to you.”

Taki sighed. “She really should stop saying things that could be misunderstood so easily…”

Umiri encircled the final question and put back the cap on her pen. “Great job, Taki-san. With this, I’m sure you’ll pass your next exam.” She started scribbling a flower on the corner of Taki’s paper and handed it back to her. “You deserve a star flower.”

“I’m not a kid.” Taki, still turned away, took the paper from Umiri with her other hand and brought it to her face. She smiled at the red circles, and at the flower then scowled again before turning to Umiri. “Th- Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” Umiri smiled at her. “You’re cute when you smile, Taki-san.”

“S- Stop looking at me!” Taki’s outburst surprised Umiri a little, but the people around them gave them the loud ‘sshhh’ as Taki turned red and apologized hushedly. “S- Sorry.”

Umiri laughed a little and put her elbow on the table as she turned to Taki who sat next to her.

“A- As thanks for helping me… Would you like to go get some… coffee…?” Taki side-eyed Umiri before starting to pack her papers and notebooks.

“Oh? Is this a date, Taki-san?” Umiri rested her elbow on the table, surprise on her face.

“…Don’t get too ahead of yourself, Umiri.” Taki shook her head as she pushed in her bag her last notebook and stood up.

Umiri watched her stand in surprise.

“Are you coming?” Taki hooked her bag on her shoulder and turned to the black haired girl with a smile. “If you’re not coming, I’ll leave.”

“Of course, I’m coming.” Umiri stood up and took her bag with her as she followed Taki outside of the library.

And so, until their next exams, the habit of meeting in the library on a fine Thursday, and then leaving for a cafe until evening had become their new norm. A period that no one in their entwined friend circle knew. A time that was only for the two to get to know each other.

Their friendship was one thing that Taki enjoyed a lot, and despite her growing feelings for this black haired bassist, she preferred to just continue being friends if it meant keeping their relationship.

[Taki-san, I won’t be able to meet you in the library for a while. We were tasked to plan a special performance for the upcoming alumni homecoming, and Thursdays are now filled with rehearsals for it.]

Taki raised an eyebrow as she impatiently tapped her fingers on the library table.

[Hm~ I see. Good luck there.]

She typed a quick response and pressed send. It was immediately ‘seen’, to her surprise.

[If you’re feeling lonely, send me a pic.]

[No way, idiot.]

Taki shook her head with a smile as she held her phone and started packing her books. If Umiri wasn’t going to be there, she had no reason to stay. She quickly left the library as she passed by loudly gossiping students on their way to the library.

“Did you hear? About Umiri-san!”

“Oh yeah~ I heard she had the thing boys do… You know, considering how handsome she was, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true.”

“Not just that! I heard that she’s really really good in bed.”

“Really?! You know someone who has slept with her?”

“Yeah~ She said she came so many times while Umiri-san hasn’t even come once… That’s like a dream come true.”

Taki felt her blood go cold. “I thought tasteless rumors just ran around in high school… Of course they’re worse in university. Gross.” She shook her head in disbelief.

“Rikki~!” Anon jumped in front of Taki with a smile. “Are you done with your weekly library duties?”

Taki blinked. “Y- Yeah. Why?”

“We have band practice today, remember?” Anon grinned as she joined Taki on campus.

“Of course I do, that’s where I’m headed. What is it?” Taki sighed in exasperation as they walked.

“Are you going to the alumni homecoming?” Anon jumped up and down excitedly. “I heard that all the students are invited, and it’s going to be held at that huge hotel in Tokyo!”

“Hm~” Taki hummed as she listened. “So it’s that thing Umiri has to prepare. That’s cool.”

“Are you going?”

“Nope.”

“Why not!?” Anon glared at her with an eyebrow raised. “It could be a good chance to hit it up with Yahata-san, you know?”

“No.” Taki shook her head.

“I heard that Umiri’s going to have a performance. It was quite the setlist, they mentioned.” Sakiko popped up on her other side. “I would likely be going as well, Uika’s going to be a guest.”

“I can’t believe that even you of all people are egging me on this, Sakiko.” Taki sighed.

“I would enjoy it if one of my greatest friends would come and see my lover’s performance.” Sakiko smiled at her politely. “Wouldn’t you?”

“Well… I can’t deny that…” Taki sighed. “Fine, all I have to do is to just go, right? Ugh.”

“Yay~!” Anon jumped up in joy as she skipped forward. “Let’s go, Rikki~ Let’s go~”

“Don’t be so noisy.” Taki shook her head.

“I appreciate it, Taki.” Sakiko smiled. “Anyway, I go this way, we have band rehearsals as well. Good day.”

“All right. See ya, Sakiko.”

“See you, Sakiko-chan~”

“I’m not entirely sure why I’m here, I think I should go.” Taki tried to leave the fitting room but a pair of arms immediately put her back in it.

“You’re out to woo Yahata-san in the homecoming, right? We’ve got to dress you up!” Anon’s voice came from outside the fitting room.

“Hah… I don’t understand why I have to be here as well.” Nagasaki Soyo, Anon’s girlfriend, spoke from outside the fitting room as well. “You mentioned this was a date.”

“It will be… but!” Anon responded with plenty of energy. “We gotta help our friend get that gal first!”

“Haaaah…” Soyo’s sigh was very audible, audible enough that Taki started feeling bad.

“You know, I really–” Taki grabbed the curtain to leave the fitting room.

“If we’re doing this, then we’ve got to do it properly. Drop that, Anon-chan. Drop it!” Soyo’s extremely angered voice came from behind the curtain, and now she’s slightly frightened to go out.

“Ehhh! Why not?! I think Rikki would look great in this dress!”

“Dress?!”

“Have you asked her if she wanted to wear that?”

“Thank god, Soyo!”

“I haven’t! It was my one chance to force her into clothes.”

“Anon…”

“Well, there is that, too.”

“Don’t fall for it, Soyo!”

“It’s a homecoming right…? In a fancy hotel… Wouldn’t the dress code be slightly formal?”

“That’s true.”

“Don’t agree with her, Soyo!”

Taki closed her eyes tightly as her waning energy to fight for her outfit to this homecoming slowly diminished little by little.

“All right. For once, you actually make some sense.”

Taki put both of her hands to her face as she sighed. “It’s hopeless…”

Anon pulled the curtain and handed a hanger with a white dress. “Rikki, Soyorin said to try this…” She turned to the long haired female who stood in the middle of the dressing room with her face buried in her hands. “You okay?”

“I’ve given up.”

“Don’t give up on your love for Yahata-san!”

Taki blushed and raised her head. “Oh for christ’s sake I’m—!” She then suddenly had a realization and put her face down on her hands again. “…Am I?”

Anon blinked and left the dress on the hook and closed the curtains. “Soyorin~ I think I broke Rikki.”

“Haaah?” Soyorin’s voice was full of doubt with a hint of concern.

“Yeah, anyway~”

Taki didn’t remember much from her shopping trip that Anon basically kidnapped her to do.

Aside from that, she had more important stuff to do… and that’s to think.

In the short two weeks she got to know Yahata Umiri, was she truly in love with her? Was it infatuation? Did she actually truly catch feelings?

“I hate this…” Taki closed her eyes as she leaned her head onto her arms in the mostly empty library.

Since their accidental study session, a month has passed… but since the homecoming practices started for Umiri, it’s been forever

…was an exaggeration, but the past week felt extremely long.

“What did I do before?” Taki leaned her elbow on the table as she spun a pen on her other hand. “Maybe I should find a part time job…”

The boredom was difficult. Taki loved coming to the library rather than being holed up in her apartment searching up everything in her laptop. Being in the library both gave her peace, but the feeling of not being alone.

But nowadays… She felt very alone.

“Rikki~ Earth to Rikki~” Anon nudged Taki’s elbow on the cafeteria table, but the brunette lying her head on her arms didn’t move. “Sakiko-chan, I think Rikki’s dead.”

“Don’t just kill off somebody.” Soyo sighed from across Taki. “Maybe she’s feeling lovesick.”

Sakiko blinked. “Lovesick? With Umiri?”

“No!” Taki suddenly lifted up her head then turned to Sakiko with a red face. “Also, why do you know about that!?”

“We all know.” Soyo leaned an elbow on the table as she rested her jaw on her hand. “Maybe only Yahata-san doesn’t.”

Taki unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

“So… Do you like her?” Anon nudged once again as Sakiko sat closer on Taki’s other side.

“I- If it was liking her, you already know that.” Taki looked at her hands in front of her as she felt butterflies dance around her stomach.

Suddenly, without anybody saying anything else, a packed juice of orange jelly with the panda print was dropped in front of Taki, followed by a warm head pat.

Taki felt her temperature rise as she turned to look up and Umiri had just passed by with a smile… and a wink.

“Heh~” Her three friends that surrounded her at the table just looked at her with a teasing grin.

“I- It really isn’t like that!” Taki’s blush and how tightly she held the juice pack was a tell, but her friends knew not to push too hard.

“Don’t miss the note, ‘Taki-san’.” Soyo smiled as she got up from her seat at the same time the bell rang. “Anon-chan.”

“Ahhh! Right! See ya later, Rikki!” Anon got out of her chair with her lunch tray and the two left.

“How about you, Sakiko?” Taki turned to the Togawa heiress seated next to her.

Sakiko smiled at her phone then locked it after checking a message. “I was going to accompany you for a bit, but Hatsune said she has the afternoon off so I’ll go meet her. Good luck, Taki.” She took her own tray and got out of her seat.

“Th- Thanks…?” Taki blinked as she clumsily waved a hand at Sakiko. As if suddenly remembering, she turned the juice packet around and as Soyo mentioned, there was indeed a note on it.

Taki-san,

My apologies for being away for the past week and a half. I’ll be there today. I’ve missed you.

From: Yahata Umiri

Taki carefully folded the note with tight and shaky hands as she closed her eyes, lips tight in embarrassment. “Soyo… You saw that…????”

Although her actions screamed denial, she was indeed excited to see the Yahata Umiri she had not seen in the last twelve days (not that she was counting).

And before she noticed it… she was sitting still in the library, with Umiri sitting next to her…

too close next to her.

Over a course of a week, from sitting in front of her, she had started to forgive it when Umiri sat next to her, but that day, their arms were touching, and if Umiri turned to look at her, and she returned her gaze, she’d feel her breathe over her face…

Taki closed her eyes as she tried to calm her breathing, together with her noisily beating heart. Her hand completely stopped from writing her cursed essay.

“Taki-san.” Umiri’s voice was extremely close to her ear. She only said a few words, but she felt her hot breath over her skin. “Why did you want to become a veterinarian?”

“W- Why?” Taki didn’t move her head as she responded, her ballpoint pen slowly digging into her paper.

“Hmm.” Umiri held back a smile as she leaned her elbow that wasn’t touching Taki’s, on the table and leaned forward so she could see Taki’s face. “Yes, ‘why?'”

“I- I’m asking you why you want to know, stupid.” Taki bit through her words and turned away from that inquisitive gaze.

“I just wanted to know. Like myself and Sakiko-san, we’re both in the music course because we’re in a band and want to continue making music. However… You have your own band, MyGO!!!!! was it? And yet, you are in the veterinary course, instead of the music one.” Umiri smiled as she asked. “I am simply just curious.”

“I just want to be one.” Taki raised an eyebrow.

“Is the reason for wanting to be one related to… your favorite animal?” Umiri looked down at the desk, her turquoise eyes running through the panda patterned pencil case, the notepad with an adorable baby panda with its mommy panda, the eraser with a cute panda print, the black and white pen with the leaf patterned cap.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Taki started to cover her things with her hand, but at the same time not overreaching so as to not lose the warm arm that was next to her.

“…I’m asking because I wanted to hear the answer from you directly, Taki-san.” Umiri asked with a smile. “Please tell me.”

Taki turned to look at Umiri a little, then immediately turned away as she noticed how close her face was to her’s. “Fine. All I have to do is just say why, right?”

“Yes.” Umiri’s voice was elated and clear.

“I wanted to become a veterinarian b- because…” Taki felt her cheeks heat up as her whole body became more aware of how close they were with each other. She turned to look at Umiri and noticed her stupid grin. “Don’t laugh at me!”

“My apologies. I am not laughing.” Umiri shifted her face into a neutral expression.

“Stop smiling!” Taki turned a little more to almost face her but with a little distance.

“My apologies, Taki-san. It seems that every time I look at you, I could not help but smile.” Umiri smiled, then tried to keep her expression neutral, but now she only looked like someone who is on the verge of laughing, but doing her best to not do so.

“Turn down that grin.” Taki glared at her, and that made Umiri completely shut her mouth and look serious for once.

“Yes ma’am.” Umiri blinked as she stared into space.

“Because…” Taki started once again, but Umiri’s face loosened up once again into a gentle smile. “If you’re just making fun of me, I’ll just leave.” Taki closed her books as she started to pack up all of her things inside their bags and pouches.

Umiri removed her jaw from her propped hand and used it to hold Taki’s hand that was on the pencil case. “My apologies. I absolutely will not laugh. Please trust me. I truly just unknowingly smile when I look at you.”

“Then don’t look at me!” Taki glared at her, but Umiri’s smile suddenly turned into a grin.

“…Then it would be such a waste to not bask on such a pretty face.”

Taki’s blush ran deeper, if it was possible. “…Then I won’t give you the answer today. Ask me again another day.” She lifted her bag after zipping it close and stood up and left without another word.

“Ah…” Umiri watched Taki’s back leave the library. She put a hand over chest with a sigh. “She is so adorable…”

“Ask me again another day… my foot…!!!” Taki put both of her hands on a wall inside her hotel room’s bathroom as she sighed. “The next time we see each other is the homecoming!” She covered her face with both of her hands as she exhaled heavily.

As with Sakiko and Anon’s words, this homecoming was her chance to make a move… with the power of the alcohol. Taki would have normally been against it, but with her growing feelings and comfort with the handsome bassist, she started to feel less opposed to it.

“It’s 2pm and I feel like I want that alcohol now…” Taki sighed again as she looked at herself in the mirror. Her slightly wet hair combined with a bathrobe, and the pantyhose she was required to wear with her dress. “Haaaaaaah…”

The door to the bathroom suddenly slammed open and a certain brunette, a pink haired chihuahua, and a blue haired lady walked in.

“Rikki! You done?!?” Anon’s voice echoed in the spacious bathroom of the luxurious hotel.

“You could have knocked!” Taki glared at her, then sighed.

“Sorry, sorry~” Anon held up her hand in front of her. “You excite–“

“No.” Taki rolled her eyes and sighed again.

“If you sigh that much, happiness is going to escape, you know?” Sakiko’s teasing tone was evident.

“Haaaaaah…” Taki just sighed once again.

To make sure that Taki would keep her promise (of attending and dressing up), her good friends decided to help her out in order to snatch that woman she’s been keeping her eyes on. It wasn’t very much like Taki to show public displays of affection, but considering the popularity of Yahata Umiri, even Sakiko, someone from the same band as the bassist, agreed that it was best to put on a strong impression to ward off ‘the bees’.

The party started at 16:30. The hotel’s event space was dark, but partially illuminated by the flashing lights and wall lamps. The food catering was to the side with circular tables, while opposite to it was a dance floor with a wide stage that had basic musical instruments.

The alumni of their school together with the current students were vast, not to mention everyone was excited for the homecoming’s events. Performances by Ave Mujica’s bassist Yahata Umiri, and a special guest appearance by sumimi definitely were catalysts for such a crowd. It was definitely a strong impression, and good for the university’s image.

However, if a strong impression was needed at first glance, Yahata Umiri definitely had one.

Dressed in a semi-formal slacks, and white shirt tucked in, on her shoulders was a loose black jacket, and a silver necklace of a cross around her neck. The slacks were tucked inside high boots, and her usually down hair was brushed up, parts of her hair on the sides of her face for a clean look that showed and highlighted her sharp features.

Before Taki could properly digest the bassist’s striking appearance, she realized that she had been approaching her and made an attempt to leave or run away.

“Taki-san.” Umiri called her with her usual cool voice as she turned.

Taki hesitantly faced her with a clumsy smile. “Hey.”

Umiri raised an eyebrow and put on an amused face. “Hey?”

“What? What’s wrong with ‘Hey’?” Taki took a step forward as she glared.

“Now, that’s more like it.” Umiri smiled. “You look stunning.”

Taki felt her body heat up under those turquoise orbs that watched her with a lot of repressed desire. Umiri smiled as she stared at Taki from toes up.

The rare black stiletto heels, coupled with a stunning dark green dress with frills that fell short of an inverted V shape, perfectly shaping Taki’s hips and highlighting her legs and thighs on the front. The sleeves were partially see-through around the arms, while the shoulders were a solid green color with a loose v-shaped collar that showed off Taki’s collarbones… especially with her otherwise long hair being tied up in a curled ponytail with her bangs parted open to show more of her face.

“Exhale, Umiri.” Sakiko’s voice came from their side as Umiri immediately let out air she had been holding.

“Sakiko-san. Thank you for reminding me.” Umiri nodded at Sakiko who wore a striking light blue dress with plenty of legs and arms showing. “I think you are going to murder Hatsune-san with that dress.”

“I would rather hope this dress could just squish the bugs that loiter around her instead.” Sakiko shook her head. “I told you, Taki, Umiri’s going to be stunned.”

“You took my breath away.” Umiri smiled wryly at Taki who just remained silent and shy in the conversation.

“Th- Thanks, Umiri… ” Taki whispered as she unconsciously shrunk up in shyness.

“Please, let me dance with you later?” Umiri softly trailed her palms down Taki’s forearm, tracing all the way to her hand.

“Okay.” Taki replied with a small smile.

“Umiri! It’s time!” A band member called for the bassist.

Umiri turned to the member and nodded. She gave Taki’s hand a squeeze and let go of it. “Please enjoy the performance.” She left with a smile and immediately disappeared into the crowd.

Almost instantly her friends squished Taki in an impression of delight and celebration.

“Yahata-san’s totally smitten! Also ‘Taki-san’ ‘Umiri’??? When were you two on a first name basis?” Anon grabbed Taki’s arms tightly as she lightly shook her body.

“It’s none of your business! Let go!” Taki tried to escape as Soyo just shook her head not too far from them. “Anon!”

“My bestie has a love life… Soyorin, could you believe it!?” Anon finally let go of Taki and turned to her own girlfriend.

“Whose your bestie? Hah…” Taki sighed as she shook her head. “It’s not like we were dating–“

Taki’s voice was drowned by the low music now starting louder and stronger. Soon, the music was lowered back down with the mc starting his spiel.

Once the music started, everything else around them had drowned out. It was as if Taki was underwater, and all she could see was the charming bassist on stage who was rocking that outfit, that bass, while intensely paying attention to her, as if the whole performance was dedicated to only her.

The whole set was three songs and solo parts for each performer, but to Taki it felt like it started a second, and ended in a second. Taki had never been so enthralled by something in a while, and she certainly did not expect it to be with someone who she had only known the past few months, and only started talking with for a month.

Spaced out, as if waiting for something, Taki knew that the stage program had proceeded forward, and that soon it was ending with a performance from sumimi, but even that performance she didn’t digest nor heard. The next thing she knew, there was a glass of champagne in front of her, and Soyo… was smiling.

“Taki-chan, I think it’s time to snap back to reality.” Soyo smiled at her.

“Uh…” Taki blinked as she looked at the tall glass of liquor in front of her. She didn’t even realize she was dragged to the tables and was made to sit down. “Where’s everyone?”

“Anon’s playing around on the dance floor, and Saki-chan…” Soyo turned to next to Taki, and the three glasses of empty champagnes, a red faced Sakiko while she watched a specific direction at the dance floor. “Saki-chan?”

“Sakiko? What’s up?” Taki turned to her light blue haired friend, then followed her gaze. “Ah…”

While the mellow and pop music continued to be played by the hired DJ, a certain blonde was in one corner of the stage area surrounded by her unit mate, Sumita Mana, together with other girls that naturally flocked around a certain Misumi Hatsune of sumimi.

“Only for now… They can have her for now.” Sakiko breathed in, then exhaled. Suddenly she turned to face her friends. “You should start drinking, Taki. You need it for courage, don’t you?”

“Y- Yeah…” Taki blinked as she picked up the glass of champagne in front of her and took a sip. “Mm. That’s a good flavor, and not too bitter.”

“You look like you need it to calm down, though, Saki-chan.” Soyo shook her head as she sighed and sipped her own drink.

Anon returned with two plates of assorted food from the catering and smiled at everyone. “Food for everybody~”

“Thank you, Anon-chan.” Soyo smiled at her and welcomed her back to her seat next to the brunette.

Taki raised an eyebrow at the unexpected behavior. After scrutinizing the table, Taki started counting the glasses. She had one in front of her, her very first one. Then to Sakiko’s… three empty ones on the table, and another half drank glass in her hand.

Then on Soyo’s… the one in her hand, and the two empty ones in front of her. Anon had one champagne, and one orange juice on hers.

“So when Soyo’s intoxicated, she becomes gentler to you?” Taki leaned in to Anon’s side who gave her a cute fang grin.

“Cute, right?” Anon nodded.

Taki turned to the other side and whispered. “And… you get easily jealous?”

“Hell hath no fury in love and war, Taki.” Sakiko smiled at her as the song shifted from pop to slightly slower, and mellow. “Watch carefully.”

With the grace of a true heiress of the Togawa group, Sakiko put her purse on the table and got out of her chair, pushing it back. She walked towards a waiter with a tray of whiskey, took one, gulped it in one go and returned it to the tray. All in one action, she swooped in towards where a certain blonde was and pulled her into the dance floor.

Arms around Hatsune’s shoulders, and their faces in close proximity, that they may as well be kissing already while the mellow song picked up, and Hatsune was quick to respond by wrapping her arms around Sakiko’s waist.

The crowd around them were surprised. Two popular figures being showy with their affections, and all at the same time ‘sinking ships’ as Taki heard from some group of girls.

“Well, maybe not as grand as that.” Soyo nodded as Taki’s face turned a shade of pink. Her eyes tracked someone behind Taki and turned to the black haired girl. “Hurry, drink.”

“Eh? Huh?” Taki followed Soyo’s gaze and suddenly there was a figure right next to her.

“Taki-san.” Umiri knelt on one knee, palms up in a gesture to take her hand. “Would you dance with me?”

Anon grinned at Taki, an annoying one that was definitely getting on her nerves. Taki turned to Soyo who only smiled at her, then to Anon and her teasing grin, then to this handsome girl kneeling next to her.

“Please?” Part of Umiri’s bangs dropped a little to her face, enhancing her features with that pretty face.

“F- Fine. All I have to do is dance, right?” Taki gulped the tall glass of champagne in one go and quickly took Umiri’s hand as the bassist smiled and held onto her hand tightly.

Without much words exchanged, Umiri helped Taki’s awkwardness by putting both of her hands on her shoulders, as Umiri placed hers on Taki’s waist.

“Do you feel okay chugging the champagne that quickly, Taki-san?” Umiri watched as Taki stared at nothing but the floor. She closed their distance as she let Taki rest her head on her shoulder. “Rest for a while.”

“Ugh… Thank you…” Taki wrapped her arms warmly around Umiri’s shoulders as she basked in the lemon scent and Umiri’s warmth as they swayed along with the mellow music.

The two of them stayed silent as they enjoyed the sweet music, and just each other’s warmth. Swaying left and right, Taki rode the sweet gesture as her nausea finally calmed down… but unfortunately, when she finally felt that she was sober enough, the music died and the emcee started speaking once again.

Out of the corner of her eye, Taki saw Sakiko and Hatsune escape from the dance floor, while Umiri guided her to the side of the dance floor.

“It’s time for the homecoming drinking party! What’s a little dance if not a little drunk?” The emcee started pumping out an upbeat track as the waiters started to put together a set of tables on the dance floor.

Then a different set of waiters and waitresses started arranging rows of short tequila shots and whiskey shots on the table.

“Taki-san, are you strong with alcohol?” Umiri’s eyes perked up as she watched.

“I would say I’m not too bad, but empty stomach and champagne did not go well.” Taki sighed. “Don’t tell me…”

“Maybe only one or two, what do you think?” Umiri quickly grabbed Taki’s hand as she pulled her back into the dance floor. “Taki-san, cheers.”

Taki looked at the shot whiskey in Umiri’s hand. Umiri was still holding her other hand tightly. Unable to refuse, and somehow not really uncomfortable being next to her, Taki sighed.

“Fine. All I have to do is drink it, right?” Taki grabbed the shot glass, and Umiri immediately took another one of her own.

“Shot! Shot! Shot!” The emcee cheered as the people around the dance floor started cheering for the ones at the center.

To Taki’s surprise after one shot, Umiri immediately went for another, and before noticing it, she had downed three.

Not wanting to lose, she squeezed Umiri’s hand that she was holding onto, and grabbed two more shots, matching Umiri’s pace.

“You sure about that, Taki-san?” Umiri grinned as she grabbed another one.

Frustrated, and not wanting to lose, Taki attempted to grab another one, but the people around them were faster.

In a rush of wind, the quick witted waiters and waitresses speedily retrieved the tables and glasses as the music dropped into a beat. It was obvious it was party time.

Before Taki could react to her surroundings, their connected hands were forcibly parted up as a flock of shrieking girls started to surround Umiri.

Loud music continued as more people danced. Taki searched for Umiri in the sea of people, and she finally saw her near the edge of the floor with about three girls grinding and dancing to her.

Normally, Shiina Taki wouldn’t care, but that Shiina Taki is sober, without an ounce of alcohol in her system. However, this Shiina Taki is different.

“Eh? Rikki? Where’s Yahata-sa–” Anon blinked as she passed by Taki standing alone outside the dance floor.

In a rush of movement, Taki grabbed the arm of this passing waiter and pulled him towards her. She turned to the shots of whiskey on his tray.

Ignoring her pounding head, that she mistook for her pounding heart, could be the other way around, she took two shots in succession and dove into the crowd of dancers.

The waiter blinked at the whirl of action, then turned to Anon who only smiled wryly at him.

“Haha… Drunk party, amirite?” Anon shrugged as the waiter offered her some drunks. “I’m good. Thanks!”

Umiri finally got into the groove. The three girls who shoved her around finally were taken away by this new batch of dancers when a warm hand suddenly held onto her wrist and pulled onto her.

Surprised, she pulled back at the stranger only to find a certain Taki pressed onto her chest.

“Taki-san???” Umiri leaned down as Taki shrugged off her hand.

“Dance with me.” Taki looked up and whispered in her ear.

Taki’s flushed face, half opened eyes, and slightly disheveled hair hit Umiri differently. Umiri’s heart raced quickly, and she felt it way lower than she expected.

As the quick and upbeat music shifted, it turned into a slow mix track, then as the beat dropped, continued into a party music. Followed by the loud booming sounds, with the flashing lights, one would barely recognize who was dancing a distance from them, much less the one next to you, but Umiri knew. The unexpected grind of the hips to her front, the feather touching along her shoulders, Umiri could do nothing but follow each beat, and each grind.

“Taki-san.” Umiri whispered into Taki’s ears.

“What?” Taki answered nonchalantly, it was probably the most relaxed, and most playful Umiri had seen the long haired drummer before.

“Let’s leave.” Umiri wrapped an arm around Taki’s waist as she pulled onto her.

“Umiri?” Taki looked up at Umiri, and the hungriest looking turquoise stared back into purple ones. “What–“

Without saying a word, Umiri pulled Taki’s waist closer to her, as her other hand picked up her jaw and lifted it up to meet her lips. Purple orbs widened in surprise, but without a reason or a need to push her away, she responded to the kiss and wrapped her arms around Umiri’s body.

Umiri smiled on her lips and parted. “Let’s go.” She took Taki’s hand as they escaped into a sea of people.

Shiina Taki, by any means, was not easy. She was popular with both men and women during high school, and even now. Branded as the Veterinary Medicine Beauty, hereby called VMB, her popularity is comparable to her friends’.

She had been confessed to by both men and women, however, aside from her high school puppy crush with one of her friends, Takamatsu Tomori, she had zero experience in romance and love. Thinking about how Tomori and Raana ‘somewhat’ just started to become a thing was beyond her…

but what else was much more beyond Taki’s expectations was her back suddenly hitting the soft bed of one of the hotel’s rooms followed by a soft tongue inside her mouth. Her hair had been undone while they were struggling to fit in through the door, and she had no idea what else happened.

“Mm… Hm…!” Taki moaned into the deep kiss as Umiri’s strong tongue touched her everywhere. The slippery saliva on the side of her mouth, and that extremely dexterous hand pulling down the zipper of her dress on her back. “Umiri…”

“Taki-san…” Umiri breathed in between kisses as she angled her head to continue the kiss and at the same time slowly stripped the green dress off Taki’s body. “You’re… captivating.” She parted from the kiss, knees on the bed as she slowly pulled the dress off Taki’s feet.

Turquoise orbs relinquished at the white skin, the lacy dark blue bra coupled with the underwear, the pantyhose on top of those, enhancing the shape of those beautiful legs. Umiri removed her jacket as she randomly threw it behind her. She crawled over Taki’s body to kiss her, but the unexpected reaction of Taki pulling out her white shirt from her slacks pants surprised her.

Taki glared at Umiri’s state of dress as she unbuttoned the shirt and slowly pushed it off Umiri’s shoulders. With the black sports bra now revealed, Taki softly trailed her fingers down those toned abs and went for the button on the slacks, and its zipper.

“Taki-san, wait…” Umiri gently held her wrists as she stopped her.

“What? I know already…” Taki sighed in annoyance as she pulled down Umiri’s slacks, revealing a very obvious tent over the exposed boxers. “I’ve known and felt you since the dance floor.”

“Ngh…” Umiri grunted an exhale as she clumsily shimmied off her slacks, before she could say anything else, Taki was onto her embarrassing tent. “Taki-san–“

“There’s no need to be shy.” Taki pulled onto the band of Umiri’s boxers as she got close. “Look at how big you’ve been growing here…” She pulled down the band as Umiri’s thick and hard member flung out and lightly hit her on the cheek.

“Taki-san…” Umiri exhaled as Taki stared intently at her fully erect shaft. “I think I–“

Without thinking much, Taki put it inside her mouth after licking its wet and strong head. She felt Umiri’s hand on her shoulder as her body was smoothly pushed back down onto the soft bed. “Umi–“

“You truly just make me want you more and more.” Umiri hovered over her, nuzzling her cheeks on Taki’s like an affectionate puppy. “I just want you so so bad…”

“Then why don’t you?” Taki turned her head to the side as she shyly eyed Umiri’s expression. The bassist who normally didn’t show her emotions on the surface genuinely looked surprised, however above her surprise, there was hunger. She lunged forward towards Taki’s lips but she briefly stopped her by pushing her shoulder a little. “I just had you in my–“

“I don’t care.” Umiri whispered over her lips as she grabbed Taki’s wrists and gently pressed both of her arms above her head as she kissed her deeply, her tongue deep inside her mouth while they kissed. She smoothly pushed both of her hands beneath Taki’s body as she unclasped the daring lacy blue bra and smoothly slid it up, and off Taki’s arms. “You are beautiful… So, so… beautiful…”

Taki could finally inhale a lung full of air as Umiri finally let go of her mouth and started to trail kisses down her jaw, to her neck and collarbones, then to her heart. Taki wrapped her arms around Umiri’s body as she felt the lingering kiss over her left chest. Before she could react to anything else, her body and mind were overstimulated, but Umiri’s deft fingers hooked around the hem of her underwear as she felt herself exposed down there little by little.

Umiri took this opportunity to slowly look down Taki’s body, as she carefully rolled down the pantyhose and the lacy black panty. She watched the string of arousal between Taki and the underwear as she pulled it off Taki’s feet. “Did the kiss feel good?” The voice was playful and teasing.

“Shut up…” Taki sighed as she turned away in shyness.

“You’re so adorable.” Umiri breathed on Taki’s stomach as she trailed kisses down Taki’s thighs but as she raised one of her knees and spread those white legs, Taki searched for Umiri’s shoulders.

“Umiri…” Taki exhaled. Face still flushed from the alcohol, and brain not really thinking of any consequences, she looked down in between her legs as Umiri looked at her in confusion. “…Kiss me.”

Working on auto-pilot and the desire to just please this beautiful woman beneath her, she went over Taki’s body and immediately devoured those tasty looking lips as she spread Taki’s folds with her fingers. Umiri made sure to rub up and down her very wet slit as Taki closed her eyes tightly, moaning into Umiri’s lips as they kissed.

“Mm…!” Taki wrapped her arms around Umiri’s shoulders as she felt a single digit enter her in one smooth move. “Hah, mmm…!” One gasp was immediately sealed into another kiss as that single digit turned into two.

Those two probing fingers moved in and out of her as it rubbed above, looking for that sensitive spot. Taki closed her eyes as sighs and moans escaped her lips. Umiri’s hand on the bed just above Taki’s head clutched on the bedding tightly as she finally found Taki’s weakest spot.

“Ahh!?” Purple eyes shot open, meeting intense turquoise ones that were intent to bring her over the edge. “Hah…! Umiri…!”

Her hand movement became precise and quick as Taki tightened around her fingers, her feet curled inward as she came. Umiri took this opportunity to lick her fingers clean after pulling them out of Taki, her other hand quick to open the nearby drawer and fished out a condom.

Taki tried to catch her breath as she leveled her breathing from her first climax. From her half lidded eyes, she watched Umiri remove the boxers and rolled over rubber down her extremely erect shaft. “Taki-san…”

“Come.” Taki accepted the sweet kiss as she was suddenly filled in slowly while Umiri swiftly entered in. “Ahhmmmmm…!”

Taki’s hips shook as she tightened around Umiri’s the moment they met hip to hip. “Are you all right?”

Taki nodded with her eyes closed.

“Did you come?” Umiri teased as she stayed very still.

Taki shook her head but Umiri took this opportunity to pull out halfway and push in. “Hah! Ah…” She sighed as Umiri stayed still.

“Taki-san, can I move?” Umiri asked as she softly nuzzled Taki’s jaw with her cheek.

Taki wrapped her legs around Umiri’s legs as she nodded vigorously without saying anything.

Umiri smiled at Taki and started moving in and out at a steady pace. Extremely turned on by the string of sighs and moans that came out of Taki’s mouth on each thrust in.

“Taki-san… You’re so beautiful…” Umiri spoke in a low whisper as Taki moved her head left and right on each increasing thrust.

Taki wasn’t sure anymore of what exactly was going on within her. Her heart felt full, she felt extremely satisfied, satiated, and another was building up from the pit of her stomach. A soft and warm hand entwined with her hand next to her head, while the thrusting started to become faster. Her heart continued to beat so loudly in her chest, in her ears, and she felt the tears slowly building up in her eyes.

“Hah… Taki-san…” Umiri whispered into her ears as she focused on keeping the pace, her hands tightening in between Taki’s fingers.

“Umiri…” Taki opened her half lidded eyes. Her hair stuck on her temples and forehead with sweat, tears formed and left her eyes as she raised one hand to touch Umiri’s shoulders. “I…”

Umiri lifted up her body to look at Taki’s face as she felt her own pleasure build up. “Taki-san…?”

“I think…” Purple orbs stared into turquoise as they met on each thrust, on each bed creak, on each movement. “I like you…” Taki turned her head sideways as tears fell down her eyes, her cheeks flushed as she tightened her legs around Umiri’s waist.

Umiri felt her throat dry at the tender confession. She started moving faster, hitting harder as Taki’s climax clamped around her erect member making her come in a few pumps inside the protective rubber. “Taki-san…! I like you, too…”

The both stopped moving, relinquishing a joint orgasm as Umiri pressed her nose onto Taki’s cheek. “Taki-san…”

Taki responded by turning towards her and pressing her lips lightly over Umiri’s in a tender kiss. “Umiri…”

The bassist didn’t need anything else as those purple eyes searched her eyes for an answer to her question.

Umiri quickly pulled out of Taki, ignoring the amount she came. As she struggled to tightly tie down her condom, she quickly fished for another one and replaced it. Soon she was inside Taki once again, beginning a slow thrusting pace as the moans and sighs began once again from the brunette.

Taki closed her eyes as she wrapped an arm around Umiri’s body, pulling her closer for warmth. She knew the night was going to be long… and she wanted that warmth closer to her, than ever.

Taki was always an early riser, but the moment she opened her eyes, she was sure it was way past her usual morning routine. She blinked multiple times, finding both of her arms curled under a pillow with her head on top of it as her upper body leaned over the soft cushion. Her back was covered by a warm and comforting duvet, but a few things were obvious for her. She was very naked, and her hips hurt.

With as much limited movement as she could, she looked around and noticed that all the scattered clothes had been folded on the nearby couch, but above all of it was the absence of the bassist she was with, and absolute silence… The dread dropped in her stomach, until utter relief washed over her upon hearing the soft sound of the running water, then a faucet turning off with a twist.

Following the direction of the bathroom, purple orbs anticipated the figure with the footsteps.

“Ah, Taki-san, good morning.” Umiri dressed in a plain white shirt with a fresh pair of boxers greeted her with a warm smile. “I just finished filling up the bathtub. I figured you might want to take a soak.”

Taki blushed as she pressed her cheeks on the pillow and avoided that warm gaze. “Mm… Thank you.”

Umiri gave her a charming smile. “Why are you feeling shy?” She walked towards the tiny table of the hotel room and poured water in a glass and brought it with her. She went around to Taki’s side of the bed and sat down on the space next to Taki’s body without entirely invading her personal space. “We did far more embarrassing stuff last night.” She offered the glass of water, but Taki shook her head.

“S- Shut it…” Taki turned the other way as she avoided Umiri. “I had liquid courage last night…” She shrunk up as she pressed her face on the pillow and said something.

Umiri blinked as she put the glass of water on the nightstand. “What was that?”

Taki spoke into the pillow once again.

“Taki-san, my apologies. I couldn’t catch it, please say it aga–“

Taki lifted her head up in frustration and turned to Umiri’s direction. “It was my first time–” Unanticipating the distance, their lips brushed over each other’s, their noses colliding very lightly.

Not missing a beat, Umiri leaned in for a sweet kiss as they kissed.

Taki closed her eyes as she sighed into the sweet kiss, then welcomed the curious tongue that slipped in. Umiri gently laid her hand on the duvet, softly rubbing up and down the spot that was just above Taki’s back.

Umiri parted from the kiss as purple orbs turned to those hungry turquoise ones. In Taki’s peripheral, she noticed the visible tent in Umiri’s boxers, and in response her body heated up as the spot in between her legs felt hot. “She sure is energetic even in the mornings…”

As if reading her mind, Umiri smiled. “You are adorable, Taki-san.” She spoke her mind in a straightforward tone. “You make me want you every minute.”

Taki blinked in shyness, but appreciated that Umiri didn’t do anything yet, as if she was waiting for her permission to make a move. She then sighed as she turned away. “I feel like we’re going about this in the wrong order.” The more she became aware of Umiri’s growing desire for her, the hotter her body became, and the wetter she became down there.

Umiri tilted her head to one side. “What do you mean?”

“Like… We… this… We did, this… first… before dating each other. “Taki explained with her best with random hand gestures.

“Ah.” Umiri, finally realizing it, suddenly straightened up her back. “Now that you’ve mentioned it , that is true.”

Taki blushed as her mind became clearer.

“Sleeping around might have been your thing, but for me, it just isn’t it.”

Umiri blinked. “…?”

Finding her silence odd, Taki turned to look at her. “What?”

“I don’t sleep around.” Umiri blinked again. “I did date one girl… who, I recall, spread rumors that I slept around.”

“Eh?” Taki blinked this time.

“You’re my first time, too.” Umiri smiled at her, that handsome face hitting her hard. “Would you be my last as well?”

Taki turned to look at her with surprise. “A- Aren’t you getting too far ahead of yourself?”

Umiri put a thumb under her chin as she tilted her head to one side. “Too far? I see.”

Taki, still hyper aware of Umiri’s boxer-tent, couldn’t keep on looking at her, so she turned away. “W- We don’t know what the future has in store for us…”

Umiri nodded. “You are right. Then, would you let me have your second, third, and fourth, and the ones that come after until the end of this lifetime?”

Taki turned to her and raised an eyebrow. “…I don’t think that’s too different from what you said earlier…”

“Taki-san.” Umiri sighed, then gave her a wry smile. “I have a lot of patience, but not so if I know that you are lying in a bed in front of me, naked. I really really want you right now.” Turquoise orbs watched her with desire. “I like you, Taki-san. Would you please be my girlfriend?”

“Y–” Taki opened her mouth to respond, but before the word could leave her mouth, there were lips over her mouth, and a soft hand on her shoulder that softly pushed her back to the bed. “Let, me…” Taki struggled to speak between kisses. “say…”

“Does it matter?” Umiri blinked.

“I- I’m not… good with words, so for me… it is… kind of important.” Taki tried to avoid Umiri’s gaze, but Umiri’s warmth next to her, and those extremely tight boxers just below her gaze made it hard to concentrate.

Umiri sat in bed and didn’t say anything as she waited patiently.

“I… like you, too… if you’ll have me…?” Taki tilted her head to one side, a wry smile on her face.

“I very much would love so, especially now.” Umiri nodded. “Can I?”

Taki rested her hands around Umiri’s shoulders as their lips met into a kiss.

“Yes. Come, Umiri.”

(END/A Universal Reaction)

“Are you sure I can borrow these?” Taki looked at the shirt and pants Umiri had lent her. Thankfully, the hotel had laundry, and Umiri was smart enough to have their clothes washed from the night before.

“You’re my girlfriend now, aren’t you? Everything I own is yours as well?” Umiri looked around checking if they had forgotten anything else.

Taki’s blush was intense, but unfortunately, there was nothing else she could say back to it.

“Last night…” Taki looked away, then her gaze landed on the nightstand. “…Did you bring condoms anticipating what happened?”

Umiri blinked as she turned to look at Taki. “Not at all. If you hadn’t seduced me on the dance floor, I had every intention to court you every step of the way.”

“Ugh…” Taki put a hand over her face as she recalled last night’s events. The shots of tequila and whiskey, and all the reckless actions she made that ultimately led to them here. “Then…?”

“Hatsune-san gave me a few before the program started. ‘Something good might happen’, was what she said.” Umiri smiled with a raised eyebrow. “Well, in the end, I am thankful. Because if I didn’t have any, I would have insisted on not doing it.”

“Sakiko…” Taki shook her head in disbelief. “We were both intoxicated, what made you go with it?” Taki voiced her curiosity.

“I risked it.” Umiri smiled wryly. “…If last night was my only chance to be with you… I would take the chance, was what was on my mind.”

Taki sighed and shook her head. “You’re stupid.”

“I become one when I am with you.”

“Stupid.”

“That’s absolutely right, Taki-san.”

“But… I appreciate it.” Taki gave her a small smile.

“I’m glad.” Umiri nodded. “I’ll do my best to be the best girlfriend to you.”

Taki blinked. “I-… I’ll do my best.”

“Just be yourself. I like you best when you are yourself.

“I can be a real pain in the ass, you know?”

“Have you met my band members?”
