“Nn… Mm… Geez…” Takina held her breathe as Chisato sucked on a spot around the ball of her left shoulder. “Chisa… to…” She reached for Chisato’s head that was behind her, raising her left arm, as Chisato’s right arm that was under her neck curled around to hug her as Takina turned to face her.
“Sleepy…?” Chisato gently removed her left hand from Takina’s waist. Takina lightly nodded onto her chest as she leaned all her weight to her body. “Good night, Takina. I love you.”
~*
Takina felt sore in places she didn’t know could be sore. She slowly opened her eyes, those amethyst orbs lazily focusing on the white haired woman lazily sleeping in front of her. She slowly brought up her left hand that was in between as she lightly tapped the tip of Chisato’s nose.
Chisato only scrunched her nose but made no signs of waking up. Takina slowly and gently planted a kiss on those soft lips. “Good morning, Chisato.” She tried to slowly part from the bearhug but suddenly found herself being grabbed tighter. “Kyaa–mm…!” Her lips being taken once again.
“Good morning, Takina~” Chisato grinned at her lazily, eyes still closed. “Hehe~”
“Your stamina is a monster.” Takina tapped Chisato’s lips with her index finger as Chisato laughed. “Well? How many did you put today?”
“About 35.” Chisato slowly opened her eyes, those intense rubies staring straight into her. “So that’s about 95 down?”
“Geez…” Takina sighed. “Where did you put them this time?”
“You’re welcome to check the mirror and confirm or~~” Chisato wrapped her arms tightly around Takina’s body, that sneaky left hand sneaking down Takina’s thighs. “You could bathe with me, and we could match answers togeth–ow.”
Takina stared at her judgingly as she flicked her forehead. “You’re just going to try and add more.”
“Wao~ I got figured out~! Ehe~” Chisato only grinned at her with round sparkly eyes. “Is your body okay, though? Want to take a break tonight?”
Takina only sighed with a wry smile. After watching that playful expression turn serious and concerned, she felt a bit of a guilt inside her heart.
Since the meet Chisato won, and their promise of 150 kiss marks, due to a day consisting of only 24-hours, and Takina’s body and stamina not lasting long enough, they agreed to do it thrice a week.
That day was Day 7, and thankfully enough, Chisato’s been leaving the kiss marks in places no one would see… if she was careful. The ones around her nape were increasingly difficult to hide, and there was a time Mika-sensei warned her about the one that was barely above her skirt’s length, on her inner thigh.
“I’m okay… I do have Archery club…” Takina’s eyes widened as she looked at the clock. “I have morning practice today!” She suddenly sat up from Chisato’s embrace and immediately felt a jolt of pain on her abdomen. “Ow…”
“Relax.” Chisato got up with her and rubbed her back. “Let’s take a break for this week. I’m sorry, I love you.”
“It’s fine…” Takina gently leaned her forehead onto Chisato’s shoulder. “It wasn’t like… I didn’t like it…” She shyly whispered into her ears before giving her a sweet smile and quietly escaping towards the bathroom taking the whole blanket with her, leaving a naked Chisato on the bed, exposed to the cold.
“It’s because you say things like those, that keeps me going at night…” Chisato shook her head before hopping off the bed and rushing towards the bathroom. “Gotcha!”
“Kyaa! Chisato!” Takina shrieked, followed by laughter. “We really need to clean up now.”
“I know, I promise to keep my hands to myself, ma’am.” Chisato laughed.
“I am holding you to your words.”
“I promise to protect my vows.”
“Geez.”
~*
Takina finished combing her long black hair in front of her home’s body mirror before grabbing her archery gear then her bag. “Chisato?”
Chisato yawned. “Yeah.” She stood up and gave Takina a kiss. “I’ll bring you a sandwich. Here, at least drink some juice, and a bite of this banana.” She offered both, that were already in both of her hands.
“Fine, fine.” Takina laughed. She took a bite of the banana and accepted the glass of orange juice. “Are you bringing it to the archery club?”
“I could just wait for you in the Student Council Room?” Chisato finished the banana she was eating and threw the peel into the trash bin. “You want me to go to the club?”
Takina settled her archery bag and school bag near the door, and put on her school shoes. “I think some of the first years are going to be happy to see you.”
“The third years aren’t gonna be happy to see me, though?” Chisato smiled at her wryly as she followed her all the way to the door way.
Takina looked conflicted. “…It’s up to you.”
“Sorry. I’ll visit.” Chisato made her way towards her, kissing those knotted eyebrows away. Takina opened her mouth to say something, but Chisato only patted her head. “It’s okay. Go now, or you’ll be late-er.”
“Whose fault was that? Geez… I’ll be going now.” Takina put the archery bag on her shoulders, and her school bag in her hand.
“Take care.” Chisato waved at her. She watched the door close behind Takina before she walked back towards the kitchen to prepare healthy breakfast sandwich for her hardworking vice president Takina.
With her parents working overseas, Takina mostly spent her days alone in their large home. Since Chisato also lived nearby, ever since they were children, Chisato always spent her time over, to make sure she wasn’t feeling lonely. Most of the times they also invite her over instead.
As now in their latter teens, and soon to be adults attending university, of course, there’s a thrill to ‘staying over’ at Chisato’s own home with her two dads, but the chances of getting caught there were high, so they opt to spend their days together in Takina’s house.
“Okay. Sandwich done. Stuff for track and field thingies check.” Chisato looked at her wrist watch. “Got some time… Okay, I suppose I’ll go to the archery club then.”
~*
Takina sat with her legs folded under her, her favor bow next to her right side, eyes closed. She inhaled… then exhaled. She cleared her mind and relaxed her body. She opened her eyes as those amethyst orbs looked at the target 70-meter target in front of her. The school’s target range was made for competitions. The open area has a cover up until 25 to 30 meters to avoid winds coming in for indoor shooting practices. While everything from 31 meters onwards to a 70-meter target would be outdoors for wind practice. They often move the setups and pedestals forward to be able to do a 25 to 30-meter standard outdoor practice.
It was not like she wasn’t performing well, she still hit inside the inner circles, but it was evident that something was affecting her mental state. She picked up her bow as she got up from the cushion. She swiftly passed the bow from her right hand to her left and quickly took an arrow from her quiver. Closing her eyes as she inhaled, and exhaled as she hooked the arrow’s head to her left forefinger while deftly attaching the nock to the string and pulling at it.
“Kyaa! Nishikigi-senpai’s coming today?!” One of the first years squealed as multiple footsteps started rushing towards the doorway of the archery club.
Takina closed her eyes as she tried to focus her mind on her arrow, and the target, and the winds.
“Oh. You guys. Doing well on morning training?” Chisato’s voice rang as the crowd of girls and boys alike flocked around her just outside the club’s open door.
“We’re already finished but Inoue-senpai’s still doing target practice!” One of the other first years excitedly tried to get her attention. “Senpai, senpai! Are you coming to watch Inoue-senpai?”
“You know she doesn’t like it when I watch her.”
Takina opened her eyes as her right hand shook and let go of the arrow without focus. With a loud ‘thock!’ the arrow pierced through the outer blue circle of the target. She sighed as she settled her bow to the floor once again, picking up the towel next to in, fanning herself with it after wiping her forehead.
“That’s right… I couldn’t tie my hair into a pony tail because Chisato left a kiss mark on my nape.” She closed her eyes and sighed once again.
“If you sigh so much, your happiness is going to escape out of your mouth, ya know?” A deep man’s voice was just behind her, taking her by surprise. “Long time no see, Inoue.”
“Senpai.” Takina turned around to look at him. He approached her. This guy was a third year, wearing also the same white upper and black hakama outfit like Takina. She didn’t know he was there. Training for that morning was already mostly done.
“Or maybe, Nishikigi’s already sucked out all the life and happiness from you.” The third year archery member looked at her target. “Whoa. Is that an outer blue circle arrow from you? Maybe she’s just a distraction from your life.”
“You have no right to speak of her like that.” Takina glared at him.
Chisato laughed wryly as out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tall black haired burly man approach Takina. She suddenly felt her blood boil as she clutched her sports bag, school bag and lunch bag that were all in one hand. She walked through the crowd, taking long strides without pause or stop until she reached the main practice area.
“Long time no see, Senpai.” Chisato looked up to him with a scowl as she wrapped an arm around Takina’s shoulders, lightly squeezing her arm. “Didn’t know you were still here. Thought you graduated a loooong long time.”
The burly man put a fist on his waist with a scoff. “I’ll be here as long as Inoue is here. We’ve been spending a loooot of time here lately.”
“That’s what you say, but the one she’s dating is still me.” Chisato moved her hand from Takina’s shoulders to her waist.
“Stop it.” Takina spoke with a loud voice. “Stop fighting. I’m done for today, Chisato, let’s just go.”
“…How about some ‘friendly’ competition for old time’s sake?” The tall man gave her a grin. “You don’t know how much I’ve improved in two years.”
Takina gently held the hand that was around her waist. “Chisato, you shouldn’t…?”
“Fine.” Chisato turned to Takina with a smile. She patted her head gently. “I’ll be fine.”
“I know but…” Takina gave her a knowing smile. “He won’t be.”
Chisato winked at her. “Exactly.” She put down her bags onto the floor. “Could I borrow your bow?” Takina nodded and handed her bow.
“You need a supporter?” Takina asked she started to remove the one in her hand.
“I think I’ll be okay.” Chisato grinned as she tightly held onto the bow. “Senpai, you go first. Make sure to hit the center, otherwise it’ll be embarrassing for you.”
“Tch. Shaddup.” The senpai just returned with his archery gear. He quietly walked towards a pedestal of the practice range.
The archery club room was suddenly quiet out of respect to the ones shooting arrows, and for their focus. There were still a few faint voices chattering about how ‘Nishikigi-senpai is shooting arrows??’ and kept on calling more people to watch.
The third year archery club member walked towards the shooting pedestal. He set down his quiver and bow next to him, gripping his fancy competition bow in his left hand. He looked at the 75-meter target and took a few paces backward to shoot farther, at an almost 85-meter distance.
He concentrated after loading his arrow on his bow and then a loud thock onto the target, the arrow hitting around the lower left area of the inner yellow circle. The students around them clapped. He turned around to look at Chisato and Takina. “See?”
Chisato only shrugged. “Can you shoot one on that too? The same distance.” She turned to Takina who only blinked at her.
“Of course, I can.” Takina only raised an eyebrow at her.
“Please do~” Chisato handed Takina’s bow back to her and Takina took up position. “Ah, use the same target Senpai’s using. Otherwise he won’t get to show the bragging rights once I mess up.”
“Chisato…” Takina only sighed and took up an arrow from her quiver. She walked up towards the same lane and pedestal as their senpai and aimed at the target from the same distance.
She loaded the arrow onto her bow as she concentrated to aim around the center. She knew that the target might be a bit too far for a center hint, not to mention another’s arrow was already around there. She pulled onto the string and let go of it swiftly, her own arrow ending up slightly around the upper right are of the inner yellow circle.
“Oooh~ Nice.” Chisato clapped together with the cheering bystander students. “My turn.” She walked up to Takina and accepted the bow being offered to her.
“What’s your plan? Geez.” Takina handed an arrow to Chisato who took it swiftly. “You haven’t fired an arrow in a while.”
Chisato grinned at her. “If this meant shooing away the flies around you.” She turned at the senpai standing not far away from them. “I’ll shoot arrows all the time.”
She stood at the 85-meter line, looking around her, a bow on her left hand as she twirled the arrow around the nock on her right hand. She took a few more steps backwards, almost a 90-meter shot, which was the farthest their school’s archery range could give.
Chisato rested the arrow on her left fore finger and aimed. However, the pull, the aim, and the hit was over far too fast, and the only thing the people around them heard was the loud sound of an arrow hitting the target. Her arrow squeeze snuggly in between the two arrows above and below, hitting directly at the center. The x that marks the bull’s eye.
The students watching were in awe as they looked at the target, and plenty of them were doubtful of what was going on until the third year senpai ran towards the panel controlled monitor and brought up the live footage on the screens above them to zoom in at the target.
The crowd around them was so surprised, everything happened so fast.
“I’ll do you a favor.” Chisato glared at him. She picked up one more arrow from Takina’s quiver, and quickly shot an arrow from an offline position. Her arrow’s head hitting clearly his arrow from the nock, breaking the arrow into half as it droved into the target, exactly at the same spot. “Don’t come near me, or my Takina ever again.”
“What the…” The senpai looked at the screen as the remnants of his halved arrow remained on the board, while the other half fell onto the ground. “What the fuck…?”
The students suddenly cheered, and Takina and Chisato took this moment to grab their stuff escape into the changing rooms as the students remained stunned
Takina made sure to lock the dressing room door behind her and set down her bow and arrows on the ground next to the lockers. She immediately assisted Chisato by the shoulders towards one of the resting benches.
“Are you okay?” Takina sat next to Chisato as she rubbed her back.
“Whew. Yeah, it’s pain. Yep. Yup. Ugh… Suddenly regret that…” Chisato closed her eyes as she made sure her shoulders were straight, her elbows resting right around her waist to keep a straight posture. “Ugh… Yep.”
“Geez… I told you, you didn’t have to do that.” Takina sighed and continued to rub Chisato’s back. “You know that your shoulders can’t take much tension and pressure when firing arrows.”
“That’s exactly what’s so weird, I hate these heart-shoulder-impact something injuries… Whew…” Chisato straightened her back as she felt the pain ease little by little. She suddenly remembered the lunch bag that was in her hands as the small bag came into her view. “Want a sandwich?”
“You think I could eat a sandwich in this situation? Geez…” Takina heaved a sigh of relief as she pressed her forehead onto Chisato’s shoulder, gently. “Why would you do something like that…?”
“I mean… He’s been bothering you lately, hasn’t he? They’re graduating soon, something about leaving me, and dating him instead, something.” Chisato tried to imitate his stiff facial features that made Takina laugh. “Here’s to hoping he doesn’t come by ever again.”
“There would be new rumors now, though. Aren’t you worried?”
“Not at all? I’ll just shrug it off as ‘I’m Student Council President Nishikigi Chisato, woman of many talents, who chose to do track and field instead of anything else’ or something.” Chisato laid her head onto Takina’s. “You have to tell me these beforehand, you know?”
Takina lifted her head from Chisato’s shoulder and looked away. “You know I never talk to him, he could approach me, and it’d be like talking to a wall…”
“Then, why today?”
Takina looked at Chisato before shyly turning away. “He said something that made me angry.”
“Should I ask what that was?”
“No, because if you did, I will answer, and the answer will make you happy, and I don’t want that because I want you to regret a little what you did today.” Takina only looked at Chisato flatly. “Today, we’re going to the hospital.”
“Ehhhh… You know I don’t like doctors…” Chisato pouted as she slumped forward.
“We need it checked nonetheless, to make sure nothing’s wrong. You’re coming, right?” Takina stared at her sternly.
Chisato could only nod with a sigh.
“Good. Now, I can eat that sandwich.”
Chisato stared at her with sparkles in her eyes. “I made it with plenty of love!” She put her hands into a heart shape in front of her own chest as she winked at Takina.
“Okay, okay.”
“Ehh~ Take my love a little~”
“I have plenty of them already, remember? The main reason why a ponytail won’t be a choice for a while.”
“Ehe~”
“Haaa…” Takina sighed as she picked up the lunch bag from the floor and opened it for the sandwich. “The thing with the third years… Just… leave it to me, please?”
Chisato turned to Takina who only looked at the opened lunch bag on her lap. Her expression forlorn. “Okay. I’m sorry about today… I really… just don’t like seeing him around you. You know I trust you a lot. I just really don’t like him.” She gritted her teeth as she glared at the locker room door.
“I know.” Takina laughed as she picked up the sandwich and unwrapped it. “I don’t really like being around him either… but he’s been back recently because he wanted me to take the club presidency.” She took a bite out if the sandwich and smiled.
“But you can’t be a club president and a studeny council member at the same time.” Chisato glared at the door and stood up. “Maybe I’ll give him a piece of my mind after all–“
“I think he knows well enough already. After getting shamed like that.” Takina giggled as she continued to eat the sandwich. “He might go for you instead… though?”
“Even if he figures out about my eyes, or the Alan Institute support for my heart because of my dads, he won’t ever get anything out of me.” Chisato stretched her arms above her head, to make sure the pain as fully subsided from her shoulders, then turned to Takina with a big smile. “Because I only have my eyes on you.”
“You are sappy.” Takina laughed as she cleaned the rest of the bread and tidied up the lunch bag. “I’ll go change.”
“Can I watch?”
“No.”
“Ehh~”
“You’ll only get tempted to add more kiss marks. No.”
“How did you know!?”
“Who do you think had to put up with you since childhood? You underestimate me.” Takina laughed before exiting inside the archery club’s shower room with her things.
“Boooo.” Chisato pouted as she sat back down the bench. “Well… Thanks for always putting up with me, Takina.”

The Alan Institute discovered about Nishikigi Chisato’s eyes, and her talent to calculate the trajectory of anything as long as she could see where they are fires from. Technically speaking, her vision and eyes give so much information, she could dodge even bullets. In archery, she could see the movement of the winds, and make split-second calculations to hit wherever she wanted her arrow to hit. However, she had bad heart, and thus the institute gave her a completely artificial heart.
Unfortunately, although the heart does not hinder movements, and anything in the daily life, due to possible impact, and muscle restraints, sports such as archery, baseball, football and such couldn’t be recommended for her.
Chisato and Takina, now in her school uniform exited the dressing room and was met with the same third year who was with them earlier. Chisato only stared at him.
“If your skills has grown like that… Then why…?”
“I don’t have to tell you that.” Chisato raised an eyebrow at him.
“If we had someone like you, then we could win!” He took a step forward towards her.
Takina held a hand out to cover Chisato and looked at their upperclassman. “She won’t join. I won’t take club presidency. Quit it.” Those amethyst eyes staring daggers into him.
“We could bring great honor to the school!”
“If a lady says No, you should just let go of it and walk away.” Chisato glared at him, wrapping an arm around Takina’s shoulders and whisking her away.
“Then, just one more competition, with me!”
“No.” Chisato turned her head to him, her red eyes piercing with a glare. “We still have student council responsibilities and we’re already late, senpai.“
He didn’t know what happened with him, but the glare in those eyes were scary, it was as if he was going to get killed if he even tried to take a step forward.

“Haaaah…” Takina flipped a page in front of her as she looked at the wall clock. There was still forty minutes until first period. It felt like the longest morning of her life. “We were just together this morning. What exactly are you charging yourself for?”
Chisato tightened her arms around Takina’s waist, who was sitting on her lap, as per their usual routine. “I am overcharging myself of Takin energy because I need to go to the hospital!”
“And whose idiotic fault was that?”
“Mine…” Chisato gently settled her forehead into Takina’s hair. “Mm~ Freshly showered Takina.”
Takina only sighed again as she closed her eyes and continued reading on papers, signing them. “I’ll be going with you, you know that right?”
“I just don’t like it when they take a look at my heart.”
“You do know they have to charge it quarterly, right?”
“That feels weird in it of itself already. It’s just a weird feeling.” Chisato closed her eyes as she took in more of Takina’s scent.
“Okay. I know you dislike hospitals, injections, and such, but this is for you, okay?” Takina turned around as she sat sidewards on Chisato’s lap, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “But didn’t you have that? As motivation?”
“What?” Chisato looked into Takina’s purple orbs as it avoided her gaze. “Takina?”
“You know… Didn’t you have to put… 55 more kiss marks?” Takina turned away, her face flaming in a blush as Chisato only looked at her with her mouth open. “Wh- What?”
“You actually keep count?”
“I plead the fifth.”
“Taaakina-saaaan.”
“I am not talking.” Takina then wrapped both of her arms around Chisato’s shoulders and hugged her. “All I am saying is that… thank you for this morning.”
“The sex?—ow!” Chisato laughed as she felt a smack on the back of her head.
“You know which one it is… That’s why I want you to take care if yourself too…” Takina spoke into Chisato’s ears. “Because I want to live a long life with you.”
“If I was a guy, and I heard that, I think that’d be me getting a hard on.”
“Shut up, pervert.”
“Glad I’m not a guy though… well, I can say that I am still turned on.”
“Turn the switch off, Nishikigi-san.”
“But you fanned the flames, Inoue-san.”
“……”
“No excuses?”
“I plead the fifth.”
“Can’t we do it in school?”
“No. This is a place for studying.”
“I’m studying the anatomy and biology of your bod–ow.” Chisato laughed as she felt a smack to the back of her head again. “So much violence today…”
“Stop trying to get into my pants in school.”
“You’re the one sitting on me.” Chisato grinned as Takina parted from the hug and looked at her. “…What expression is that…?”
“What?” Takina only stared at her.
“For a second there you totally looked like you were going to let me touch you.”
“I so was not.” Takina unwrapped her arms around Chisato’s shoulders and got off her lap. “Now, President Nishikigi, get out of my chair.”
“But I’m your chair?” Chisato only stared at her, as Takina glared at her with that flat, judging expression. “Yes ma’am.” She suddenly stood up from her chair and moved towards to her own, actual chair.
“Thank you.” Takina sat back down on an actual chair now and continued working. “What?”
Chisato only watched her. “You sure change gears so fast… You were just seducing me, and now you’re all work mode.”
“If I let you wash me away with your words, then we’ll just end up–” Takina covered her mouth. “Never mind.”
Chisato only grinned at her without saying anything. “So doing it in school is actually possible…”
“Whatever you’re planning, no.”
“He he he he…”
“You’re scary.”
“He he.”
“……”

“Your body seems to be doing fine, but with your rotator cuff injuries, I suggest not continuing with archery.” The female doctor looked at Chisato’s x-ray and smiled. “Well, the pain might continue for a few days, so I’ll prescribe you some pain killers for now. Don’t overdo it now.”
“Yesm…” Chisato sighed as she frowned. “Would doing track and field be okay?”
“Of course. Running is could for your new artificial heart, even if it’d be competitive running, it should not hinder performance. However, archery is a bit different because of the string pulling, and high impact actions. Of course, that goes as well for similar things such as baseball, or kendo.” The doctor explained and tore the prescription and handed it to Takina. “Make sure she drinks them, okay?”
“You make it like Takina’s my mother.” Chisato pouted as Takina nodded at the doctor and kept the prescription. “I won’t touch the bow and arrow again, I promise.”
“You can still touch them, but you know how it is. You can’t use it the same way you did today, or the same way you used to when you were a first year.” The doctor smiled at her wryly.
“I knooow. Impact, string, something, thingy.” Chisato hung her head once again. “Takina, are we done?”
“Yes. Thank you for today, Doctor.” Takina stood up from the chair followed by Chisato, as they bowed.
“Ah. No rigorous activities for the following week, okay?” The doctor pointed her pen at Takina’s neck. Takina blushed immediately as she pulled her collar higher. “Young love is good and all, but don’t overdo it~”
“Chisato, let’s go.” Takina grabbed Chisato by her arm and dragged her outside the doctor’s office. Chisato waved at the doctor with a big grin as the door closed behind them. “Chisato.”
“Hhyes?!” Chisato blinked as Takina suddenly called for her.
“No rigorous activities for the following week, remember?” Takina only smiled at her sinisterly as Chisato half shrunk near the wall, nodding nervously.
“Do you really not like to do it that much…?” Chisato hung her head forward as she followed Takina towards the pharmacy to get her medicine.
“I already told you, it’s not like I did not like doing it. Just that… do we really need to do the 150 kiss marks thing…?” Takina handed the prescription over the counter.
“Of course we do. The whole school has to know that you’re mine.” Chisato grinned at her.
“Idiot.” Takina blushed as they waited near the counter for the medicine to be ready.
“I’ll be your idiot any day~” Chisato grinned at her.
“Here are your medicine.” The pharmacist handed the medicine as Takina received it and put it in her bag. “You want contraceptives?”
“N- No thank you.” Takina blushed from her ears as she took Chisato’s wrists and walked way from the pharmacy.
“We’d totally take some but we don’t need it!” Chisato waved at the pharmacist.
“Young ones these days, full of energy.” The pharmacist only smiled as she watched the two of them leave the hospital premises.
